  1. Hi! I hope you can help me here. We applied for subclass 143 in Oct 2017 and included our Daughter as a dependent. Currently, she's on graduate visa subclass 485 and expected to proceed for her own PR visa 190 or 491as she's independent now. So, do we need to remove her name from the subclass 143 application before she applies for her PR visa process? Thank you!

Try Qatar they go through Doha and are still flying

I personally won’t fly Emirates although I do like them because you have to use a train to get to another terminal for your connecting flights. As a lone traveller I find it very stressful

Congratulations!!! We are happy for you and have a pleasant journey to join your beloved Children. Cheers!

Looks like it! Immi have said that applications up to June 2018 (I think!) will have their queue date as the date of lodgement. After that they will be assessed and then given a queue date. I’ve just tried using my lodgement date of 21 June 2017 and it says 22900 in front. But if you try after 30/6/2018 it says there are no visas in the queue presumably because those applications will be assessed then given a queue date

So for my date with 22900 in front at today’s cap of 6000 It means I have a further wait of 3.81years ! But at least they are going to update every month and there may be some dropouts etc but at last  it gives people with contributory parent visa applications an idea of their eventual processing date - this has been sadly lacking in the past and should now bring clarity to the situation

as of 21/06/2016,  6040 applicants in the queue &  21/06/2017 there are 22,900. it means there are 16,860 applications lodged within a year. really frustrating story...

    Hi everyone

Out of curiosity  I went on the queue calculator today and got this.   I put in the date my application was received by immi 30/06/2017 which I know is not the date I meet requirements to be placed in queue, but gives an idea.  Does this mean I have a minimum of another 4 years wait based on yearly capping?

    BREAKING NEWS..

    Now processing October 2015.

    6E6A4CF0-C23E-403A-B907-F9D46D1DE8D1.jpeg

Just to include some subsequent information to the above table.  The DHA had included the Onshore visa applications within the respective offshore categories - whereas the Onshore applications had been moving faster.  The DHA have updated the information to include:

We have identified some discrepancies in processing times between offshore and onshore visas in both Parent and Contributory Parent categories and are taking action to correct them.
    * Onshore Contributory Parent (UU884 and DG864) visa subclasses have been assessed up to January 2017. Onshore Contributory Parent visas lodged from January 2017 onwards are likely to take longer to process while we action offshore Contributory Parent (CA143 and TU173) applications to bring the dates back to parity.
** Onshore Aged Parent (BP804) visas have been assessed up to Queued Date of May 2012. Onshore Aged Parent applications with a Queued Date of May 2012 onwards are likely to take longer to process while we action offshore Parent (AX103) applications to bring the dates back to parity.

This is good news for the 143 visa applicants as it suggests that they will be bringing the 143 into line with the 864 applications.  The DHA had reached up to processing visa applications submitted in January 2017 for the 864 visaapplications.
