@ielectric it came to mygov inbox.  I tried changing my communication preference through mygov to receive any letters online but the changes don't get saved.  It was fixed by one of the rep at centrelink during one of my many calls with them.  If it is set up correctly, you should receive a welcome letter from centrelink through mygov inbox.

thanks a lot, does the my gov letter also have a few days delay?as i saw ur timeline its accepted earlier

    AOS finally got accepted 🎉🎉🎉

I did re-uploaded the documents together with the invitation letter as well as a form to request for review of a Centrelink decision 2 days ago.  Wondering if those had helped.

    Now the waiting game restarts...

congrats!did you get acceptance letter in mail or my gov email?

Hi ielectric, As it’s my son and fill that are our sponsors I don’t actually know what the letter looks like but if it has the barcode on it then yes you need to upload that as well. It links the Aos bond to the applicant so without that my Dil was told without the barcode it will not show the bond as being paid. Scary!!

omg i should did that too, thanks a lot!

Hi Rosiejaq, Some info my daughter in law gave me last night... she visited the CommBank to ask what she needed to do as centerlink said they will receive the letter on Tuesday to pay the bond. All sponsors for the Aso must be present at the time of opening the account.. it costs $150 regardless of whether you already have a CommBank account to set up the bond account.... the bond will be for 5 years but will automatically be renewed for another 5 years with nothing else to pay.  You need a bankers cheque , cash or a CommBank account that you can transfer the money from.. once you have the certificate letter from the bank you need to upload that with the letter centerlink sent you containing the barcode to your mygov account. If you don’t upload the barcode it will not show that you have paid the bond. My son and daughter in law are going to pay the bond on Saturday as that’s the only time they can go together. Good luck... I hope this all goes well for you.

Hi Jellybean,do you mean we need to upload the bank request centrelink sent as a financial document as well?

The main thing to upload is the bank guarantee. We also uploaded the confirmation of opening the bank account and the sum of money deposited. We uploaded documents via our daughters MyGov account and we also took the originals into the local Centrelink office.

Thanks so much ,i guess i will also upload all of them, but just hard to find time to visi tvisi t centrelink office☺️

@ielectric   Evening, well our daughter in Melbourne lodged her AoS application using her MyGov account. She Visited Centrelink office five weeks ago to prove her identity and this week she had a phone call asking for the AOS payment and details of opening a commonwealth bank account. She Opened the account, made payment.

I didn’t know that the bond for the AOS $14000, which if not used, accumulates interest 1.35 p.a.

just waiting for letter of acceptance to forward to our agent.

Have you heard from them yet?

Thanks Jessey!Nope i have not heard anything from them yet...

A MyGov account gives you access to a number of government services online e.g. Medicare, Centrelink, ATO. You can access all of these services individually but a MyGov account brings them all together in one place. My daughter lodged her AoS application using her MyGov account. She had to go into the local Centrelink office to verify her identity and once this was done she received an acknowledgment of the application online. The estimated date for completion of the AoS was around 8 weeks from application. At week 12 (4 weeks after their estimated date) my daughter went into the local Centrelink office to get an update. She was advised not to pay too much attention to their estimated date and to be patient. They could see the application and they assured her that it was being dealt with. Around week 15 my daughter received a letter from Centrelink via her MyGov account asking her to lodge the Bond amount with the Commonwealth Bank.

    I hope this helps.

A bit more on that ,we won't expecting any phone interviews as such right?as i saw ppl menetioned about phone interviews before, thanks

AOS has asked for payment. Amazing how things are speeding up fast and furious. 48 months so far from lodging 143.

    1/09/15 143 lodged

    29/07/19 AoS Accepted

    8/08/19 2nd VAC requested

9/08/19 2nd VAC Paid and acknowledged

They told us that our dependent child, who is in Australia with student visa, has to leave the country for three days for the visa decision now.

If he leaves the country on Monday 12/08/19 to Thursday this week, and we notify the department of this on Monday, will they process the decision within those days? We are confused about when and how fast the decision is made in situation when someone needs to leave country for it. Due to having some deadlines around university it would be best for him to leave in these days and not later

I heared someone got their visa granted few hours after left Australia, but it might be a case by case thing…but i think you should notify your CO as soon as you booked the flight rather you left the coutry, but its almost 12th now… btw if you don't mind me asking when did you lodge ur AoS application?

Hi Everyone, Can anyone please tell us how to make AOS application?  Is there any form to fill up? where to send AOS application (mail Id)?

Also, I had done medical check in April 2019 for SC 600 visa. Is this Medical test valid for One year till April 2020 for CPV 143 Medical Check ?  or we need to go for CPV 143 Medical Check again even within a year?

i did Aos through mygov-centrelink online, and my parents medical check for 600 is able to be reuse for the 143
