    Hey Guys!

Happy to inform you all that I received my final invite from VIC today and I can't be more happy than this. Now just one and last step left for Aussie dream to become a reality.

Hang in there guys, Your invite will be around the corner. Be patient. I started my process for Aus in March, 2017 (IELTS-->Applied in AHPRA-->Did my overseas bridging program-->gain Aus license as a RN-->skills assessment-->PTE-->EOI) and now here I'm. 3 years went by.

Things do look doubtful at times but keep going for your dream.

    Congrats!!

I'm glad everything worked out well for you.

I'm hoping to get the same luck soon, as time goes by my hopes are fading away. Just gotta wait and keep holding on 😊

Good luck with everything and keep us updated.

    HI everyone,

Is it true that NSW is not giving 190 invites anymore for applicants not living in NSW? Or is it just applicable to certain occupations (the ones with additional criteria). My partner is the main applicant, we are both Registered Nurses with 80 points EOI. Just recently submitted an EOI. We are currently in SA but we used to work in NSW for 1 year before moving to SA, now we want to move back via visa 190. Anyone know if our chances are good? thank you

Yeah, from January they GENERALLY won't invite who's not already residing in NSW. That means that they might invite people from other states if they really need to, it will all depend on the number of EOI they will receive from NSW and the amount of positions to fill. At this point no one knows. If you're already thinking of moving back to NSW I would recommend to move as soon as possible and update your EOI to increase your chances.

Offshore. Does being offshore really affects your chances of being invited? Any idea?

I think offshore takes longer than onshore, but I'm not 100% sure about this. I think that for some states you need a job offer to apply from offshore.

    Hello!

No one can predict your State Invite. I have submitted EOI for 190 VIC with 80+5ss points (9/08/2019) but I'm still waiting for an invite. May I know your job code? Mine is 254415 (Critical Care & Emergency).

    Thanks!

    Onshore or offshore?

That's a great score, you will definitely be invited soon but no one can guarantee it will be within two months. If you really need the invitation asap, do the English test as that would put you up on the ladder. Good luck!

How about 190 for NSW? Anyone knows if it's easy to get invitation in this state? I've got 80+5 points.

    Thank you for your advice.

just the follow up: my agent still go it with nec. They said it doesn't matter as not claiming points.  I will just wait for the final result.

I agree with Martina, it can difference for invitation. For example for NSW 190, NEC RN have to meet an additional requirement to get state sponsorship.

Do you still have to provide with reference letter from your previous employer if you go with NEC? If yes, then it wouldn't make a difference applying with medical or NEC ANZSCO code, even if you don't claim points.

    Hi Martina,

I have one question regarding to submitting modified skills assessment.

As my situation is that I worked overseas in medical ward for two years and my professional reference mentioned ANZSCO code Registered nurse(medical). And I am also got nursing bachelor degree in Australia this year.

When I wanna lodge the ANMAC application, I need to fill in one part which is "The ANZSCO code you are nominating to be assessed under____".

I contacted with agency, they advised that I should choose NEC as I got Australian degree and I also cant claim 5 points back. But my overseas work and professional reference mentioned Medical.I am not sure for this part in the application, do I need to choose Medical or NEC?

As you know there might be a different waiting time for invitation based on the ANZSCO code.

And one more thing, if I choose NEC on the application, after the officers assessed my professional reference, if they think I should belong to Medical, will they changed my nomination ANZSCO code based on the assessment by themselves or will they just reject this application because of two different ANZSCO code mixed in the assessment?

Thank you so much in advance. Appreciate!

    Hi,

I've got a similar experience. I worked in medical ward overseas. I've got Australian Nursing degree as well (not bachelor, but Graduate Certificate).

I didn't claim points for experience but I went under medical ANZSCO anyway and had no problem with ANMAC.

    Hello,

When did you submit your EOI?

Also, I guess Registered Nurses scoring Points for PR does not go more than 75 unlike occupations like accountants or engineers whose point exceeds 80/85 mark. So, does this mean registered nurses who are having highest point also stand a high chance of receiving an invite than those RN who have low points?

    Hi,

I submitted in June with 65, then I updated last week with 70 when I got the NAATI result. I only submitted for 189 for now, I'll wait few months to see what happens in November, if I can claim more points for not being married.

    Hi Peimika,

I *think* chances for invitation actually depend on your ANZSCO code, so different for all types of registered nurses. I'm surgical and was invited within 3 days however, my friend who is NEC waited 4 months for invitation. Others I know with same points but different specialisation have been waiting for invitation since February.

It would be only logical if they were inviting those who are most needed first.

    Thank you for this information.

I was trying to do the maths calculating how long I'd have to wait based on other nurses' experience, but they're all different ANZSCO.

    Hey Guys,

I have submitted EOI for 189/190 visa on 17th July with 70 points for Registered Nurse (Critical care & emergency-254415). What are my chances of getting an invitation next month? Has anyone recently received an invite on the same points from NSW?

    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi,

I've submitted EOI for 189 with 70 points as well, I know people in our same situation have been waiting for few months. As Martina said you might get better chances with 190 depending on the state.

Does anyone know if there's different chances to get invitation sooner if you're medical instead of critical care nurse or viceversa for example, or all registered nurses have same chances to get invited?

Hi! I’m wondering if someone can help me. I’ve been registered as a nurse in UK for 5 years, but I’ve done my studies in Italy. Now that I’m here I’m about to start my application in order to register with AHPRA. My concern is that as I’ve got an Italian degree they might want me to join the IRON program. I’m hoping that my registration as a nurse in UK will make it easier for me to get registered here, but I’m not sure about that. Does anyone have a similar experience? Thank you in advance!

Hi! Same experience, I qualified in Italy and worked in the UK. I am now in Australia, I have completed the bridging program and I have AHPRA registration. Contact me if you need information on the pathway.
