  1. Hi. I hope someone in this thread had been or still on 187 or RSMS visa can shred some lights for me. I have been on my RSMS visa from 10/2019 till now so it's around 16 months in. I have been invited for citizenship test on 25th this month. My work has been very nasty to me even tho I'm one of their best workers all because I don't suck up to the new head chef and he decided to transfer me to another venue which 30 mins away from my home. So my question is can I resign after I give my test and DHA approve my application? Or I need to wait till my ceremony? Thank you.

  3. Hi all. Anyone knows if your visa still matter after you have obtain citizenship ? I know it doesn't make sense to hold a visa and citizenship at the same time. I'm currently on 187 visa and have about 9 months left to go but I would have my citizenship around June. Can I leave my job early ?

  4. Hi all. My visa was granted on 14/10/2019 so I have been working with the employer for more than 12 months now. I was also employed full time 10 months with same employer prior to the grant of my visa. But I'm in a sticky situation now since we have a new head chef and he is extremely difficult to work with. Can I leave or I have to stay until my 2 year obligation is up 🙁🙁 ?

Same here, Have no job since Feb. Now, I did get money from jobseeker but I'm worry it might effect on my PR. Because the system put me to find a new job. I don't know what to do.

Hi. I'm not 100% sure and even my agent doesn't have a clear answer for this but he reassured me that it won't affect my 187 visa because this situation is out of our control. And from Centrelink, as far as I know if you can prove to them that you are currently still employed and only being temporarily stood down and will soon be return to your full time job then they will waive any job plans, interviews and mutual obligations for jobseekers during this time. If you can provide a letter from your employer, it will be helpful and maybe show them the conditions attached to your visa as well.Hope this helps !! 😊

  6. Does anyone know if we have been stood down from a job ( not laid off or made redundant) . The time we spend waiting, say 6 months or so to go back to the job when it reopen for business, does this time will be counted towards our 2 year obligation? I'm confused because we haven't broken the service with our employers but at the same time not getting paid ( unpaid leave ) 😕

The ABN may change, or it may not change.  It depends how they change the business structure.   If the ABN stays the same then you should be fine.

If it changes,  then I think you could be in

In case my nomination got refused and I have 28 days to withdraw my visa application, so then I will withdraw my visa application before it get rejected which will prevent me from making further applications on shore. So if I appeal to AAT for my nomination  and not my visa, can I still remain on my bridging visa A ?  So I can apply new application on shore while I'm waiting for the decision to be made or not ?

Or I have to apply appeal for both of them ?

  11. Hi. I have been sponsored as a Cook. We lodged Nom + Visa on 23 May 2019. Case has already been opened and asked for RCB, police clearances and health examinations on 25 July. All submitted 31 July. Haven't heard anything back yet.

Now, I just found out that my company is in process of changing its structure. So basically, Woolworths Group owns my company group and another big group. They have decided to combine my company group and the other group into one massive group. My question is my company has their own ABN number and I believe the other group also has their one. If the combination is going to happen then is that mean they will acquire a new ABN ? Would that affect my Nomination as their ABN changes ? Can Immigration case officer see that the company didn't close down or sold but just being put together with another one ? I know it's pretty complicated. Please advise me. Thank you.

  12. Hi guys,

I have a question can anyone please share their knowledge. In case my nomination got refused and I have 28 days to withdraw my visa application, so then I will withdraw my visa application before it get rejected which will prevent me from making further applications on shore. So if I appeal to AAT about my nomination then I can apply new application on shore while I'm waiting for the decision to be appealed or not ?

    Thank you 😊

Hi tien, I am in victoria

    Hi Navlove,

As some people have shared in this forum, your visa can still be granted even without RCB. If your case is strong and genuine then immigration may grant the visa still. RCB is an advice but it's not an absolute guideline for the grant of the visa. If you're using an agent then you might want them to call and hurry up the RCB people.

Hi everyone, I applied my 187 in December 2018 and got RCB refused in April 2019 because of some advertisement problem.... after that I applied RCB in June .... on 12 July immigration sent a request to provide medical + form 80 + police check. But we didn’t got our RCB approved yet. My agent sent a reminder email to RCB office that immigration opened my file. Now my owner gonna call RCB OFFICE to ask them that why they are not approving my RCB as my case is genuine and it’s a Australian restaurant and I am working as cook at same place from last 4 years. I am really worried what gonna happen if my RCB didn’t approved . Any suggestions please .... Thanks ...... Nav !

Hi Navlove, which state are you in ? I'm in Queensland and also applied as a cook.

  15. Hi friends, please help.

I'm super worried now. My visa and nomination lodged on 23 May 2019. Case officer assigned after 3 days. So CO sent a request s56 to my agent requesting PCC and medical on 27/5 and asked to release my PTE score on 28/5. My agent has never told me that there was a request from CO. I only found out by creating my immi account and login to see the progress of my application. Now I have passed 28 days and I can only provide them with PCC but haven't been able to arrange my health exam. I emailed my agent but still waiting for them to respond as it was weekend. Just seeing if anyone have any advice about this ?

Hi can you please suggest me how many years of experience do I need for skill assessment with rpl certificate?

Hi Ddl. I'm not so sure about how RPL certificates work. I started all my studies here in Australia and my work experience is post graduate so I'm sorry I can't answer your question. For skill assessment you will need minimum of 3 years experience post qualification 😊
