  1. Hi Maggie. Thanks for the satisfy information. I have another question if you can help me. My younger brother is Australian Permanent resident.  He met a girl through Facebook in 2016 and both started relationship in 2016. When my brother applied his Permanent residency in 2018, he mentioned his relationship status “single” in form 80 as he cannot prove he is in relationship because he didn’t met her before. He is going to marry her in November before my marriage. So my question is, when he will apply 309 visa for his wife what relationship he needs to show. Should he need to show just arrange marriage? If he show it is love marriage and they know each other since 2016 then immigration can ask my brother why he didn’t mention in the form that he was in relationship before lodge Permanent resident. By logic, he didn’t meet her so He couldn’t proof his relationship during his PR visa lodgement. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks

  2. Hi everyone. I am going to get married this December. I want to apply offshore 309 partner visa for my wife. It’s an arrange marriage. I never met her before, I will meet her first time this December. So my question is this, what documents should I attach during visa lodgement? Some people say I cannot apply 309 visa for my partner because I don’t have one year old relationship proof. If this is true, It is unfair with arrange marriage? How can someone show a year old relationship before marriage if he or she do arrange marriage? Thanks

    @Ajay88 In my opinion - if you think it's important to your case, upload a letter stating the same (under additional information).

    - I have never heard of a case that had provided TOO much information.
    Besides, it could help avoid an extended wait (by if the CO does ask for evidence).

    Thanks Hex. I got my visa today...I am a retail buyer.. I got 457 visa in October 2016 and I applied Nomination and 186 TRT visa on April 2019.. Nomination was approved on 12 June 2019 and visa Grant on 8-07-2019.....Top of the that today my elder brother got 190 visa( Victoria ) as well. What a lucky day for both brothers 🥳. He is a professional chef... Hex you are doing a great job on this page. You always give accurate information regarding 186. Thanks again 🙏

    @Selim

    This is entirely up to the CO that opens your case. The best part is that, if a new CO opens the follow up request, they might also need something (that the first CO missed).

    So, to answer your question, the options are:
    - You don't get asked for anything.
    - You get asked for one s56, complete it, return it --> the CO has everything they need and move on.
    - You get asked for an s56 and miss out information, or theres more needed, you'll get asked for more (I personally was asked for 2).
    They will ask for as many s56 as required. However, with the new law that had / has come in (not sure on when), it's up to the CO to decide if they want to ask for a s56 or simple reject the application. This is a move which they  hoping will reduce the wait list. Basically, reject incomplete applications from the get-go.

    Hi Hex. I am looking for information regarding 186 TRT. I applied 186 TRT as retail buyer and my nomination has been approved. My two year payslips shows weekly wages $1050 before tax but doesn’t show weekly hours. I am working 38 hours per week. Do you think guys CO can ask for weekly hours? The company I work for they already mentioned in the reference letter that I am working 38 hours per week. Please advise me what should I do as my Mara agent says CO will not ask for hours on payslips. Thanks

    Hi, I have 4 years experience in Retail Buyer in oversea. I am currently living in Melbourne. Could you please advice me whether I have any chance to apply for any visa in Australia at the moment? Much appreciate if I can get your contact for asking further information. Thank you so much

    You have few options to get Retail buyer visa. First option do your skill assessment through vetassess and find a employer in regional area then apply 187 PR visa. Second option you can find employer in metro area and apply 482 retail buyer visa for 2 year. 482 visa will not lead to PR.. The only way you can get PR through 187 visa.. Third and last option if you have experience from overseas then apply 489 visa in south Australia they have retail buyer in their occupation list and it is only for overseas applicants.. so you have good chances to get 489 visa from South Australia..Thanks
