  1. Hi guys,

I applied mine and my wife’s citizenship on 15th of April this year in parramatta office. And I haven’t heard anything yet. Problem is my wife’s overseas passport is expiring January next year. Does she need to have valid passport to attend the test and interview? Or ceremony?

    thanks guys.

Hi chef what documents did you provided for work experience? And didn’t you submitted your work experience doc when you applied last year?  I only have reference letter and payg payment summaries from my previous job. Is it enough?

  3. Hi guys

just wanted know, while submitting my work experience documents,  is payg payment summaries and work reference letter from my previous employer is enough? Or do I need more documents like payslips, bank statements etc? I just have payg payment summaries and reference letter from my previous employer.

    Thank you

  4. Hi guys

my nomination got approved 4 months ago. And they ask me for 3 years experience after qualification coz I applied after the rules change. I didn’t knew that experience counts only after qualification and I didn’t had 3 years. So I withdraw my visa application. But now I have 3 years experience after qualification plus skill assessment done. I’m going to apply my visa again this week with same nomination that got approved 4 months before. And just wondering if I will have any problem? Please it’s really stressful. I have already spend lots of money and time. Your any suggestions will definitely help me.

    Thank you.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. Just want to add my story here so we can all share all the news about 187 visa.

    Position: Cook

    State: QLD

    Nomination and visa applied: 23/5/2019

I know till now my waiting journey has only just begun when many of you guys are counting on years 😂

I applied with 3 years post qualification in Australia. 3 years skill assessment from TRA.

Certificate 3, 4, diploma in Commercial Cookery, Advanced diploma Hospitality Management.

    Company annual turnover: 4.5 billion

    Let's all be positive !!

Hi can you please suggest me how many years of experience do I need for skill assessment with rpl certificate?

If you have received a formal request from the case officer, you would usually be given 28 days to provide the required information/documents. As such, you need to act quickly.

If the issue is the 3 years of full-time skilled experience as per Regulation 187.234(c)(iii), then your experience now is irrelevant, as this is a time of application criteria.

You need to urgently discuss with your Agent and determine how the issue is going t be resolved.

Hi Raul senise thank you for your response . If you okey with it can you advise me on this. Is it a good idea to withdraw my application and reapply it. And if I do that do I need to apply for new nomination? Or same nomination will do for me. Please do response. Thank you so much

As it stands your visa will be refused because you haven’t met the criteria. It may be better to withdraw and resubmit the visa application again, as I think (but am not by any means certain) that the nomination is valid for a few months. Raul, who has replied above is a reputable MA, I would consider having a chat with him as I wouldn’t give your current agent much credibility based on the advice he’s given you to date.

    Thanks wonderingaloud.

This is strange u should lodge visa and nominations together. Now no choice u need to accept the facts about 3 year full time experience after qualification.I would suggest to u don’t take any risk. Withdraw the visa file and re apply new visa.

Do I need to apply nomination again o same nomination will work for me if I with draw my application?

  9. Hi guys need a big favour. I applied my 187 nomination on 20th of February 2018. And visa on 28th June 2018 after rules change. I had all together 3.5 years work experience when I lodge my visa but just under 2 years experience after I got my rpl qualification. During that time my agent told me all 3.5 years of experience counts. But I got my nomination approved yesterday and co asked me 3 years full time experience after qualification. Which I didn’t had when I lodge my visa. Now I have 34 months and around 10 days of full time experience after qualification. From here I dont know what to expect. When I talked to my agent he told me not to worry he will find some solutions. But I’m not sure about my visa yet. Please guys if any one of you have any information about this please help me.

You must meet the criteria for the visa on the day that you submit the application.  If you do not meet the criteria, an appeal will not be successful.  I'd suggest you speak with a registered migration agent on how to best proceed, but you will likely need to withdraw your application and submit a new one if you now meet the criteria.

    Thanks for responding.

Click on the poms in oz logo at the top of the page. Then ‘Australia visa chat’, and create new topic.

You almost did it, you posted your question in someone else’s post, start your own topic.

But tbh, I think all you can do is submit what you have and hope they accept it.

    Thanks for responding.

I had the same Document Request from Case Officer. My MA suggested to do an RPL for my Overseas Qualification. So I did RPL and submitted on the 9th of May along with other documents.

    Still nothing from them....

Hi mnt, I I got email from immigration today asking for same 3 years post qualification experience. Up to today’s date I have 34 months of post qualification experience. I don’t know what to do my agent is not answering my call.

No idea what your question has to do with this thread, I would suggest seeking advice from a migration agent

My migration agent is not answering my call. I don’t know what to do. Never had this much stress in life. I have little daughter with me. I’m doing all this for her.  Please if any one can help me out with this I would be very thankful.

  14. Hi guys, I got my nomination approved today. I applied nomination on 20th feb 2018.  And I applied my visa on June 2018 after the rules changed. I had over all 3.5 years experience at that time. But i just had 2 years experience post rpl qualification. Now case officer wants 3 years experience post qualification. As I know when I applied no where in immigration website mentioned work experience has to be post qualification. Till date I have 34 months of post qualification experience. From here I don’t no what  to expect. Please I need help. What can I do?

I was under the impression you had to meet the requirements at the time of application. But I don’t know that for certain. Given no one else seems to know why don’t you post your query on the main visa chat page and perhaps one of the MAs who post regularly on here might see it and reply?

Hi wondering aloud, thank you for your response. Where can I find main visa chat page?

  16. 10 minutes ago, Tosh14 said:

Only immigration can advise you on it. I suppose because if they count from nomination date then you are fine and you will get the visa.

In case they count from your visa application date then u might get a refusal as rules changed in March and it clearly mentioned 3 year experience in nominated occupation.

Hi tosh14, yes it is 3 years work experience but I thought it’s overall 3 years experience not post qualification. I just calculated and now I have 34 months of post qualification experience. Does this work or it has to be 3 years when I applied?

I did apply 187 visa with RPL in 2018 feb and got nomination approved  on 24 th april immi jst asked gor police check and medical and i submitted them on 8th of may ...

My case looks like yours but immi didn't raised any other issues in regards to RPL and work experience. So what can i aspect in this situation.. any one has idea plz share it..

    Thank you

Hi 1985,  I applied my nom on feb but applied my visa on June after the rule changed. During that time i just had 2 years of experience after rpl but 3.5 year all together. And at that time there was no where written that the 3 years experience has to be after you receive rpl. But now immi wants me to show 3 years of experience after qualification (rpl). If they are looking for what do I have now then it’s okey I have 3 years of experience after rpl. But i just had 2 years after rpl when I applied on June 2018. So I don’t know what to do. So Please guys any advise would be very helpful.

They will be looking at what you have now. If you have 3 years of experience after RPL now you just need to show this, and that's it.

If it’s true than I should be fine. But how can I be sure that they will be looking what I have now.
