Update: he mentioned that he got assessment as cook and he is applying for cook position and not sous chef. And for cook position only 2yr visa is granted.

What are his option with that

I am aware of 189,190 skill dependent visa but nowdays points are.quite high.

Today I got the golden email by my agent. I used to login to the portal to check the status check 10times in a day but from past week I was not bothered to check. Today when I got the mail from agent then I checked the portal and status is finally finalized.

Actually we got the grant yesterday, but our MA informed us today. Happy times!!!!

Congrats, does that mean you didn't check immi portal on your own or your MA will get the latest update first and then it takes couple of days to update the portal?

There is another thread for tracking the progress on the application. From that thread, it seems that there are a few approval post 15march. I recommend you to post your query in that timeline thread instead

slow or no application processing after 15 March. I saw a couple of approval for nurse or medical officer skillset

I saw the approval yesterday on FB group for 190 visa

Hi All, I received the S56 request on 4th March for further medical tests and completed the test on 11th March and after that, the portal is automatically updated to reflect the last update date as 11th March. 

I was going through my profile and noticed the below button, which I don't think it was there earlier before S56 request. Even the medical test results were completed, the status is still "initial assessment". Please let me know if I need to contact my MA to confirm.

I got s56 for medical examination and we are done with the test but the status is still initial assessment.

Update on my application. I have received email from my MA regarding the approval for my nomination

. It is approved on 4th match and let's see when will I get the update on my application.

It's copy paste just make sure you are not updating anything on your profile. Just view it and close it 

Hi all, my brother in law is a chef. He is currently working as chef de partie and have 8 years of experience. He have worked 3 years in cruise USA.

Please let me know if there is any genuine job available for a deserving chef and employer can sponsor 482 for him.
