In our case we supplied the number of days, age ranges, and names of schools. I would imagine that this is standard information that is required.

We had to get our letter redone from the university as the unit (weeks) for length of placement wasn’t initially stated; very frustrating but luckily was picked up by the agent before submission.

Hi, how did u approach your university for this letter?

    thank you

  2. Hi, I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Early Years Practice with Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) to teach ages 0-5 (early years initial teacher training, EYITT) (like QTS) .  So the course was 1 year full-time with placements.  Would this be recognised in Australia for Early Childhood Teacher, also what age group should I be working with in UK to help with immigration work skills side of things for example do I work in Nursery 0-5 or Reception age children 4-5 years old (school)?

    kind regards,

    Mahr

  3. Sorry, should have said earlier.
Going through the process as an early years teacher we waited approx 4 months for invite and 8 months for the visa. However we did have case officer contact at the 4 month mark so it could of been granted then but the system dumped some document uploads which had to be resupplied.
That was with 70 points. Just to give you an idea.
Hi I would like to know what qualifications did you do for Early Years Teacher? I am currently of thinking to do Post Graduate Cert in Early Years Practice with EYTS. I already have 3 years BA Hons Degree in Education Studies including Foundation Degree in Education in Context. So I just need a fourth year to complete. Did you do EYTS (Early Years Teachers Status) OR QTS. Or know anyone else who have been accepted with an EYTS with post graduate course?

    Thanks in advance
  4. Hi

Please inform an update. I have a similar dilemma I'm looking into a course that is Post Graduate Cert in Early Years Practice with EYTS (Early Years Teachers status) like Qts but this is specialised for Early Years Teachers.

    Thank you

  5. Thank you Scott and Bran for your replies.  I currently hold BA (Hons) Education Studies. I'm planning to complete a fourth year at Uni by taking on a course either standard  PGCE Age 3-7 or Post Graduate CERT in Early Years Practice with EYTS ( Early Years Teachers Status) ages 0-5. I would like to go to Australia as an Early Years Teacher.  Still deciding which course would be best to do. Early Years course is funded by DFE.
