Hi mellie if your medical was referred to the moc you should know, as in you should have been informed that this was going to happen. Has a health waiver been requested? What does your agent say? When our application was referred to the moc we were definitely told. Our agent told us it can take from 1 to 2 years for moc decisions!

    Thank you for your response.

No, I’ve not been advised it’s with the MOC so this is good news - thank you. How long did your response from the MOC take to come back?

Today my status updated to ‘examinations ready for assessment’ and saying they’ll either be processed or referred to BUPA for assessment.

Fingers crossed the case will simply be processed now. 🤞🏻

You can check the status of the health assessment in Immiaccount under health assessment tab. Normally BUPA is the one who does evaluation of the reports. They are quite fast and send the feedback to processing officers. It is only case officer contact applicant for further information and not MOC.

    Thank you for your response.

This does not sound like the sort of communication which would come from the Department of Home Affairs.

If there are medical or character issues, the case may have been referred to the MOC or the Character Assessment Unit which will significantly increase the processing time.

Hi Raul, do you have any idea of roughly how long the MOC processing time is at present, please?

    Hi guys,

I applied for a 186 visa as a Marketing Specialist based in Sydney back on 23rd Feb 2018. Up until now I have not seen any change in the status of my application.

With everything submitted I am wondering what is taking the department so long, particularly given that I am seeing others who applied for the same role type, also in Sydney, who applied after me, getting responses.

Is anyone aware of that determines when your application is reviewed, can you contact the department to get a better understanding of the delay?

Also given that I have already submitted all additional documents with my application, I notice that after 12 months they may no longer be valid - as this is the departments fault (due to them estimating a processing time of 8-10 months at the time of application) will they accept the documents or request a renewal?

I had a request for revised police checks and have supplied these, I'm waiting on a response back from the department regarding my application. Have you had any joy as yet?
