    Occupation: Business Development Manager
    State: QLD
    Birth Country: India
    Stream: 457 - 186 TRT
    Number of applicants: 4
    Nomination & visa  applied: 13 Nov 2018

    Nomination approved : 13 June 2019

Request for my Partner Police check  which we submitted yesterday : 24 June 2019

    Last Update shows : 24 June 2019
    IMMI Status: Further assessment

Can we ask our agent to Call the department or not because its been 2 months now . Please advise

I got my Agent to send an Update Email and within 2 day she got feedback. It does not hurt to to just ask for feedback, even if you are within the allocated wait times.

  2. Hi all,

    PR just got approved.

Its been a really long journey for me, like quite a few here. Over the last couple of days, Canada started to look more enticing, but we just held on.

Just really excited....now its time to start looking to buy a house.... 🙂 - one stress to another.

This has been a great forum to share the weight of the exercise, although at times, can also be discouraging, but mostly very positive and somewhere that keeps it honest and truthful.

My full journey has been greater than 4 years, as I also had to withdraw on my 457 when I moved companies.

    Hang in there, and thanks....

  3. @theredblur,

this is not a Police Clearance, but a Consent of Disclosure - an additional form required for NZ. You are correct though, my agent should have known that NZ police clearances would require this as well. So maybe just a heads up for any with Police Clearance for NZ,  to also fill out a Consent form. (this form allows AUS HA to confirm that only one police clearance response was submitted, just assuming that is possible to they can add an addendum to the clearance which is not uploaded or declared.)

  4. Just a general update:

I got a email a few mins ago from my agent. They just received and email and tel call for my wife and I to provide a Consent for NZ MOJ. I assume this is based off the recent S56 request for Police Clearances. Note, I have not even a Parking ticket in NZ but nevertheless, I guess its all down to process.

    Some additional notes:

    - My agent sent a mail yesterday requesting feedback

    - An email was sent to my agent came from an official at Home Affair - a Decision Maker, today

    - We have 7 days to return the consent form

So a broad assumption is that a decision is immanent, and there are no further requirements, and that we are in direct communication with a Decision Maker so there should be not delays re: queues.

  5. Hi All,

Just an update: (its been a while since my last one)

    • 25 May 2019 S56: Request for additional docs
      • NZ Police Clearances
      • Passport Renewal for my youngest daughter (from RSA)
      • Application Status = Initial Assessment
    • 25 June 2019 - Uploaded all the required docs - Agent clicked the button to register all required documents have been uploaded
      • @Hex, mate, its a very long story but we managed to expedite and get a passport scan before the transit back to Canberra.
    • 25 June 2019 - Application Status = Further Assessment

Guess we are very fortunate that we managed to gather the docs within the 28days (+ 2), so its back in Immi's hands and Team 12 before the revisit cycle.

  6. Hi Guys, need some advice please:

I finally get my application looked at (Team12) and there is a request for further documentation. Annoyingly my Police Clearances for NZ expired 1 month ago, and now I have a request for new ones, and I assume a 2-4 week turnaround time is therefor non-negotiable.

The more pressing concern is that my youngest daughter's passport(South African) has also expired during this ---- very long wait, and we have applied for a new one, but timelines here may not be favorable. Questions:

    - Will the evidence of the new Passport Application (Postal Invoice to Commissioner) provide enough value or

    - Do we have to wait for the actual Passport to arrive (still another 2-6 months)

    Thoughts and advice pls.

Good news on my side - Visa Grant today!

Finally, a big relief after so much hesitation and frustration about the processing time.

Guys, keep you faith! I know, it drains and poisons you, but there will be your day!

    Thanks everyone, and good luck!

@art that is excellent news, congratulations....

I am trusting that since you and I have very similar timelines, Lodgement and Nomination approval, that I would be not too far off from a visa grant...but then again, predicting an outcome with this process only creates anxiety, so I will just rely on my faith.

Just got my PR grant today.

Sales & Marketing Manager 186 TRT

    Nomination lodged 1 June 2017

    Visa lodged 1 June 2017

    Nomination Approved 21 March 2019

    PR grant 18 April  2019.

Congratulations, I'm sure you must be ecstatic after such a long wait.

  9. Received my Silver email today - well from my MA.

No updates however on my side of the application, but believe that this should be reviewed soon. All required docs are updated, AFP + Meds + Skills + English, so just trusting that all will go well.

(no emails both nomination or my side lodgement  re: your application will be looked at shortly)

  10. Suggestion: maybe an idea to update the spreadsheet with a new column that tags emailed recipients and those not. This might just be a new pre-processing status and we can only validated this against the spreadsheet.

I just contacted my MA, and she has also received this email for already processed/finalized visa's.

FYI, I did not receive an email.

@Kashif.Iqbal Some people are getting theirs in 3 months from lodging. It's very erratic at the moment.

An assumption might be to level the intake, re the percentage of processing required per month, over the ceiling required for the 2018/2019 period. agreed, very unfair for those waiting for a longer period of time, but equally unfair in the ceiling is reached months before the end of the cycle, having reached the cap.

    Purely speculation,

could  just as easily be workload management, processing 5% of every month on a rotation.

    Hi guys,

have an odd question if anyone knows.

Visa expires yesterday for example and you lodge a bridging visa today and gets approved (BVC is granted). What are the chances to be considered un-lawful citizen if any?

    Any info is appreciated.

    Thanks

I believe that there is a grace period (30 days - but best to confirm with MA). This allows visa holders - expired ones too, time to make plans to exit the country or reapply for a new visa.

  13. can't believe that I have been all alone for so long on this erratic visa journey, only to find such a rich community of shared experiences and concerns - and an excellent spreadsheet with data that is our only insight into the processing magic that mostly eludes a logical pattern. Thank you for sharing .

and please add me to the spreadsheet. (details in signature). Still in Received status.
