I called and asked Home Affairs, they said the test center will be arranged following the new address. I'm thinking to relocate too, too much depression under Dan. They said if you change the address or driving license, just update in Immi and wait :). You can call and double check.

Hello everyone! I just received invitation to sit my test! Please advise me how can I bring that appointment forward? I remember I read here some people were able to bring it sooner, they have asked me to sit my test march 2, I'm heavily pregnant and not sure if I'll make it til then! I don't want to risk not sitting my test if baby comes early. I applied for citizenship March 2020, in Victoria. Recently moved to QLD, I updated my address in December and received my test appointment today for March 2nd 2021 in Brisbane.

    IM SO EXCITED! thanks!!

Anyone applying who’s above 16yrs needs to apply independently(separate application). Children/dependents  below 16 yrs can be included in either parents’ application. But you can use the same immi account to apply for both you and your spouse.

    Thank you so much 🙂

  4. Hi guys, I'm sorry if this is very basic but I've decided to apply on my own (not using my agent). I've finished my application and it is ready to submit. I thought at one stage I could add my husband as a secondary applicant but they only asked a bit of information. Does he have to apply on his own using his IMMI account?

Thank you guys hope you can help me so I can submit both applications today. We have all the docs ready.

For evidence of arrival I simply stated passport.  There wasn’t a stamp as I went through e gate, but if you have the passport number used (the one where the visa was linked at the time) that is sufficient.  They have movement records of all your entries and exits from Australia.

During the application you can choose what evidence you wish to use in some areas, like driving licence, utility bills, birth records etc.  There won’t be anything you do not have something for. At the end it will list the evidence you need to scan.  For me it was birth and marriage certificates, passport, utility bill, ID form and driving licence as far as I can remember.

I will not also reply to your PM, not being rude but better for everyone to see replies.  Better for you too, if someone gives you duff info via a pm reply no one can chip in and correct it.

Thank you. I don't know if this was directed to me as i don't recall sending any PM's to anyone, but this is very useful info and makes total sense 😉 cheers

This is my opinion based on my experience. It is not a strict rule that he must have the evidence of his first entry. He can answer no to the question asking 'if he has evidence of his first arrival to Australia'. That was what I did because I had no evidence. And during the interview I was not asked for it. In fact, I asked the officer interviewing me that some people said they are asked for that. He said he does not need it, that they have it anyway. Having said that, if he has a photocopy of his previous passport or email of airline booking, he can carry it along on the day of interview. I took as much documents as I could and one unexpected one came handy during my interview. All the best with your application

Thank you very much, may I ask what document came handy for you?

  7. Hi guys, my husband and I will be elegible to apply early March 🙂

He is portuguese and recently got his passport renewed. When he did, the consulate kept his old passport. He called to ask for help in regards to proof of arrival to Oz (stated in his old passport). Consulate said they couldn't help. Any ideas of how we can prove his arrival to Australia? It was ages ago, around 2011-2012, he doesn't quite remember when he arrived exactly. Thank you.

  8. Hey guys, my colleagues and I got visa granted early march. Today we found out our workplace has sold to another company. We were asked to apply for the positions with that company, but already know they are fully staffed and don't need more people. Are we ok to look for a job somewhere else, while staying in the area with same postcode? We will apply anyways just be safe. Our lawyer advised us to take whatever we can find within that company, but personally I can't support myself or my family just with casual work.

Thank you guys hopefully you can help me

  9. Hi guys i'm so excited to share my timeline with you after being a silent follower for a year.

I still can't believe my luck, yesterday I received my golden email!

    - visa, nom applied same day, feb 24 2018

    - got RCB approved in a months time

    - Nomination approved feb 2019. I didn't get much info. from employer and my MA said it was up to them to disclose that info, but anyways Nom approved straightaway without requesting docs. for nom.

-7 of feb CO allocated to my visa application, requested AFPs, overseas police checks for me and my partner and medicals.

    - submitted within two weeks

    -Visa grant march 8 2019

total processing time: 12 months and 16 days. Can't believe it....... Childcare VIC , LR country

ps: this is where it gets really interesting and to be honest... we just got so freaking lucky! I applied around the same time with two other colleagues (end of feb 2018). CO was allocated to all of us on the same day, just requested different things (colleague one: AFP, overseas police check, medicals and letter from employer confirming her daughter as dependant in visa application / colleague two: AFP, overseas police check, medicals, info. regarding the veracity of her de facto relationship and working with children check). Both of them LR country, partner of one of them HR country. Submitted docs two weeks later just like I did... and yesterday we all received golden email!!

    Good luck everyone!!!!!!!
