Congrats, would you mind sharing if it was council arranged, if yes how many people per ceremony

    Thanks,

everything was arranged by the council. They emailed me with the ceremony date and my identification check date.. they sent me zoom meeting link for the identification check and then another zoom link for the ceremony.there were 48 more people were at the ceremony.it took about 45 minutes to finish the whole thing.i think  everything depends on how efficient the council is.They were super organised and fast.

    thanks.

Hi Sanji how they arranged your meeting over the phone or did you received any email from them

    Hi,

they just emailed me with a date for identification check and ceremony date and time with a zoom link. they asked me to confirm if Im available for those two days by replying to the same email.

its just the council emails you, not immigration.

    thanks

Can i ask you one question on behalf of my friend

She got a date to attend a virtual ceremony but her husband didn’t

Now will they allow her husband to participate with her?  Or her husband need different email invitation

    Thanks in advance

    Ts

    Hi Tasna,

Thanks. If they have applied individually,Yes  her husband needs to get the invitation too.each individual over 18 needs to make the pledge.

he can not use his wife's invitation letter to attend the ceremony and make the pledge.

    cheers.

Hello everyone, I’m new in this forum,

I applied for the Australian citizenship on 28 January 2021, Sydney, parramatta office.
    still waiting for invitations,

any idea how long approximately waiting time ? I can see too many variables, some people get in 3-5 months where’as some still waiting for up to 2 years...

is there anything that we can process the time faster ?
If I could have it by before September 2021, would be great to start uni with vet student helps..

any feedback or advise would be greatly appreciated..

    Hi,

its a pretty much waiting game,

I applied on 02/01/2021 and I received the test invitation letter in 4 months. I didnt call them or email them, I was just waiting . I think since you are still in the time line better keep waiting and see. hopefully they will arrange your test soon. we cant really push them.

    good luck

    Thanks

The address can be changed by logging into your immiaccount and go the update details tab. Yes, you will need to upload evidence of your new address, so go to the upload documents tab, and upload it to the “address” tab.

Regarding the marriage, you’ll need to fill a form for “Changes in Circumstances”, and upload it too. If you changed your name, add that new info, too.

    Thanks Randall,

is there any specific section do I need to upload the 1022 form?

    Thanks

One of my Friend was saying that all the Restaurant manager and Cook cases are getting very scrutinised. They often visit the Company as well which delays the process. I am not sure whether its true or false .

Its not alwyas true , they would come check if they want to make sure the application is legit , or just randomly pay visit . It could be same for any other occupations too not just cooks and restaurant managers .

Hello... yes there is no problem to cancel your private health insurance after getting bridging visa though you are entitled to get Medicare..BUT, i am not sure what visa you had before your 186 application.. if you was a 457 holder your bridging visa is not fully effective caz your 457 still active.. so to continue 457 you must comply the visa conditions,, mentaining the health insurance is one of them...

    thank you

    Hi ,

i have a friend you apllied for 186 like 8 months before his 457 expires, but he did the same , he canceled his private health cover and applied for medicare . Had no issues . As long as you are entitled to apply for medicare , you wouldn’t need to have that pivate health cover . But still its up to you to maintain that health cover or not . But it wont effect your visa
