Hi All, Please guide me. I lost my birth certificate which was uploaded with my citizenship application. Meanwhile, I was able to get a new birth certificate from the government. Is it important to upload it now as I shall be showing it, if asked, during the interview tomorrow? All the contents of the new birth certificate are same except it has a different date of issue.

Not a direct answer but you can refer to the following link:

    Applying online in ImmiAccount (homeaffairs.gov.au)

    In which it states:

Tell us if you made a mistake

To tell us about a mistake on your citizenship application:

Attach a document to your application to tell us about the mistake and give us the correct information.

    • login to ImmiAccount
    • use the ‘+’ icon to expand the application details
    • select ‘View details’
    • select ‘Attach documents’
    • select ‘Other documents’
    • enter a description
    • select ‘Browse’ and the document file name
    • select ‘Attach’ to upload

Online however I am pretty sure that the approval letter used to come via post . Except if they changed that recently.  If you read here the pages from 2020-2021 you will see everyone received approval letter via postal. And at the same time the status turned into approval in the account without email notification. Is Good if they changed that .

In my case approval letter and ceremony inviation were all reveived in Q2 of 2022 via emails only. Probably the department changed comunication methods recently. Not sure it was nationwide or just for certain states. I'm in VIC, by the way.

You will never get an email for citizenship approval. You will only receive a letter via post office and also your account status will be changed to approved.

Was your application online (via immiaccount) or on paper? Mine is online application so all the communication I've received from the department was via emails: intervew appoiment, approval letter, ceremony invitation. None was postal.

12,263 more citizenship applications submitted last month (March 2022) ==> by conferral. Somewhat 19,000 applications were processed from all over Australia. Far better than 10,000-12,000 applications getting processed previously. Wait game continues...

These figures I recorded by myself over last few years.

  5. Hi all,

My partner and I attended citizenship tests (in VIC) on Mar 28, 2022 and both passed (100%) . My partner got approval within 1 hour after the test with a confirmation sent via email and her application status changed from Received to Approval on immiaccount. It's been 8 working days from the test but I haven't received any approval email and my applicaiton status is still Received. My partner applied on her own while I included our two kids (under 16)  in my application.

I do applogy if these have been answered in this forum but would you help me with these questions, please:

    - In your case did the application included kids take longer time to process?

    - Did you have to wait for more than a week for the approval came through?

    - In your case, or someone's you knew, even without the approval email from the department but you were still invited by local council to attend the ceremony after passed the test?

Thank you very much for your time.

  7. Hi friends,

From your experiences, how long did it take for kid’s health assessment results being submitted to the visa application? We are family of four: parents  and 2 kids - 11 and 9 year old. Both kids were checked TB with blood test. We did medical check at Bupa Branch in Dadenong, VIC. Examinations did on Tuesday morning. From Immi account, late afternoon Wednesday got  “Health clearance provided – no action required” for both parents. By end of Friday the kids are still “Examinations in progress”. I knew that it may take up to 5 biz days for the results being ready based on Bupa info website, but want to check with everyone here if it is normal take that long?

Kindly share your experience if it is relevant to yours. Thank for your time.
