Yeah i have heard this from other people too... even just googling Deloitte, they seem to pull a lot of weight.... this is from their website

"Deloitte have undertaken extensive consultation with the Government since the abolition of the Subclass 457 visa was announced in April 2017. We are pleased the Government has responded to concerns regarding the removal of a number of skilled occupations where a genuine shortage of skills exist in Australia." (aware that this is for a different visa, but I am just highlighting that the government seems to value their opinion"

Having said that, they are very expensive. They charge a lot more than normal agency fee but documentation is perfect 🙂

Do you know if that included the nomination, or was it just the visa process?

    - That's really impressive, would have loved to have seen the breakdown, oh well! Congrats.

I know few of my friends who got in 5 months last year around June 2018 when processing times were higher. So. i am kinda concluding that its all random and not based on any specific occupation or country or anything like that. there might be few exceptions to my statement but generally.

i don't have the exact breakdown from her, but I can 100% vouch its true. I was with her the day that she completed her paperwork and helped her do it as I had just done mine. She works for Deloitte which processes 1000s of visas a year, not sure if that means that they rush their visas through. Submitted October, granted Jan.

Yes, Deloitte has amazing legal/immi team but are very expensive

  6. Hi guys,

I have exciting news. Jut received golden email.

Accountant category applied on 12 feb 2018. Nomination approved on 22 Dec 2018.

Aus PCC expired on 28 Dec 2018, did not ask for new one.

My estimate was we get grant within 3 weeks from nomination approvaland today was the day for me.

thanks guys for giving support and confidence throughout journey.

I wish all the best to all others. Just remember it’s just matter of time. Everyone gets PR.

Hi @Hex, yes, I know the difference, thank you.

I just asked him because few hours ago he posted:

    "Hi Shaun,

I also lodged under accountant category on 12 Feb 2018. How did you know that nomination was approved? i cant see any such thing when i import my application to my immi account."

So I presumed he has access to the application and couldn't see any information the nomination was approved like the "last updated" date.  I just wanted to confirm it 🙂

*Few people were able to see an update on their application, like the date or a new message.

    Sorry for confusion bro.

i tried to check myself but no luck. so i called MA and she mentioned about nomination approval. The thing is unless i ask, they dont  mention such details so i was under impression its not approved.

Fingers crossed that i get approval before 18th else i have to medicals again 😞

If they haven't yet requested any documentation / updated files then it's likely that they have not yet viewed your visa.

Regardless, I would suspect your visa to get picked up within the next week or two (at best) - from there and depending on the files attached, it could be a "request for more / updated documentation" or simply a grant 🙂

Thanks Hex. Hopefully its golden email directly. fingers crossed.

    DAMN hope so! 😀

All forms in...just a waiting game now.

Our Police Clearance expires on 7 Feb so they better get it done before then!!! 😋

Just clarified with MA and we dont need to get home country PCC if we have not stayed more than 2 months in total since PCC is expired. Aus PCC is still required if expired but shall wait for immi to request for it. Hope for best.

    @Mayur
You can't view your nomination - this is an application on behalf of the company.

    The only way you can see this is;

    - To check with the MA (if your company is using one)
    - If you have the company nomination TRN (which is unlikely) - then you could import their application as well to keep an eye on the progress

    These are 2 completely separate applications;

    - Nomination: Is the company nomination application that they provide (to sponsor you). This will contain sensitive company information (financials etc.).
    - You visa application (dependant on the nomination being approved): Once the nomination is approved (the company is allowed to sponsor you), a CO will open your visa and process it.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you Hex. That helps.

So someone previously mentioned rightly that High risk country does play role in visa processing.

If Shaun is also under same occupation and lodged after me, still his visa got processed early. Just an observation.

Hope for best. All the best Shaun 🙂

    Some partial good news...

Nomination has been approved on 22 December 2018 while we were on holiday!!

Hopefully we close getting the GOLDEN email, as I read this forum I presume the Nomination is the big one to get through, hope it is true. 🙂

It seems that the Accountant Occupation has been struggling lately with high points (80-85) on the 189 to get nominated, getting this far with a nomination approved seems positive.

    Hi Shaun,

I also lodged under accountant category on 12 Feb 2018. How did you know that nomination was approved? i cant see any such thing when i import my application to my immi account.

    Occupation: Accountant
    State: NSW
    Birth Country: India
    Stream: 457 - 186 DE
    Number of applicants: 3
ENS 186 Visa and Nomination applied:  12 Feb 2018

Nomination Approved:  Dont know - can someone help
    IMMI Status: Received

Guys, i would like to discuss something with all of you.

    Please give you opinion.

Since i lodge my VISA application for 186 TRN, i am so much worried for my permanent residency.

I am checking my visa application status every day, login my immi account every day, checking my email, browse the immi site for visa processing times and searching every day on internet about latest updates about immi policies. i am in so much anxiety i dont know how to tell you guys that how much worried and keen for my residency. Even from last 7 month there no even a hour passed of my life in which i didn't think about my PR. I just making a cancer in my mind, i am getting mentally sick. i think i will get mad soon, i my decision came negative i will kill my self.

i am nearly 36 years old, arrived in Australia 7 years ago as a student than one of my employer offer my sponsorship after years. to become an australian resident is my dream no one from my family have ever been here, even my frieds family member ask only one thing have you got nationality there. i haven't been visit my family from last 4 years, i am telling to my slef i will visit after getting my residency. i am really dying every day, i saw a a lot of people every day even they are younger than me and they have residency, they are enjoying there life and i am not.

i am really crying at the moment, please tell me what should i do, i am thinking to consult with a psychiatric.

WHY IMMIGRATION TAKING SO MUCH TIME FOR GIVING THE PERMANENT RESIDENCY DECISION, WHY THEY ARE RUINING OUR LIFEEEEEEEEEE

WE ARE NORMAL HUMAN BEING, WE WANT TO LIVE HAPPILY HERE, PLEASE GIVE US RESIDENCY WHY THEY TAKING YEAR TO GIVE DECISION.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I AM CRYING, DEAR GOD PLEASE GIVE ME DESIDENCYYYYYYYYYYYYYY PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I would say treat ourself lucky that you are atleast living currently in this beautiful country. There are heaps and heaps of people who are still dreaming to enter this country. I hope and I am sure everyone who have lodged would get PR, it’s just matter of time mate. So treat yourself lucky and enjoy life in this beautiful country. Think about people who are homeless or poor and living under poverty. God have been graceful on us that we atleast have family who takes care of us and god has been graceful for us to make us live in this wonderful country. Just don’t think about PR for next few months and focus on career and your other passions. Take care mate. PR is not everything. Think about family before you do something stupid.

I lodged on the same day as you, when the AFP certificate was requested on 23rd November, I uploaded it within 20 minutes of receiving the notification, since then, radio silence. Ive got my fingers crossed for a grant for us both this month!

Thanks mate. At least they requested for some documents. For me there is nothing asked so far. my PCC and medicals is expiring end of next week and hopefully they dont ask me to do once again which means further hole in my pocket :( :(

Hope we get our PR soon. by the way, did you also apply under accountants catergory?

    Thanks,
