@ArafatG I guess that may be the case as the number of applications are high for some reason during the month of June in 2016 and 2017. We too have applied for in June 2016.
Hoping a large number of those are 173 and not 143 applications
@cfernandes Yeah it’s just dragging and tiresome by the minute.
let’s hope this is the year they finally processed things a tiny bit faster.
and it would be great if you could add your signature so it will be easier to track everyone’s timeline. Cheers

True. But real test is May & June months processing time of 2016 and 2017.
Are you implying those months will have longer processing time compared to other early months. I’m at June 2016

People waiting for Skills visa are in long queues. People waiting for spouse visas are in long queues. Thats just the way it works. I'm sorry but why should parent visas be able to get priority?
I don’t know about skilled visas queues but spouse visas are swift and normally issued from 6-12 months. I know a few friends who asked for me for help and it’s pretty much straight forward. On the other hand Parent visas ( contributory subclass) has been delayed enermously so either the parent will fail at the medical or unfortunately lose interest. I was told 12-24 months even after getting in touch with them when i lodged back in June 2016 and now its like this year won’t be assessed so i kindly disagree with your priority jibe. No one asked that. We need the department to keep the promise they made that’s all. Best of luck for those who just applied it’s gonna be long and frustrating process.

Hi guys,
i have been reading your thread and what a wonderful job you doing.
i have applied for my mum’s 173 CPV on 21 June 2016.
im currently not working so here’s my annoying couple of questions;
1- is it compulsory to provide proof of income ( must i be working and earning if yes how much)
2- is AoS only for 143 or it also applies 173?
i know the pros here already seen this probably but couldn’t find the actual thread so apologies for the repeated queries. Thank you in advance.
