It will take approx. 2 years . Mine opened exactly after 2 years .

Its Depends on which bridging visa u got . If You are on  bridging visa A , you can apply for bridging visa B to travel overseas . But If u are on Bridging visa E you can't travel . 

On AAT , Yes You can apply for other Visa .But You can't apply it onshore you have to go offshore .
