I am a radiographer as well and practicing in Singapore.
a) I have 3yrs of General x-ray and 4yrs of MRI experience but had 0 CT experience. However, AHPRA recognized my working experience and granted me a general registration .
b) employment part i do not know cuz i am planning to seek a job later this year.(due to current work contract). but as far as i know ASMIRT is for skill assessment and most important part is AHPRA registration. once you get a general registration with AHPRA then ASMIRT is just matter of time and money. it took 2-3wks for skill assessment. If immigration require your skill assessment for visa then you must get the skill assessment.
I hope my experience can help you

190 applications don’t usually require higher points and give you 5 extra points anyway. 489 add 10 points. I assume you have taken English Test to get the max 20 points for that. Be aware that if you are lacking points because of age then transition to a 186/187 may not be possible.
first of all, thank you very much for your advice. I will be 38 in Aug and end of this year i will have extra 5 more points because of 8 years experience. However, single applicants will have 10 extra points so it doesn’t mean anything.

Hi all,
recently, as everyone knows, cutoff points for 189 and 190 has reached the sky.
I have applied EOI haven't got an invitation yet because of low point(65 in 189).
So, I am thinking to find a company that can sponsor me(482 TSS) and eventually apply for permanent residency(186 ENS).
If there is a user like me, or in a similar situation, I really need advice from the user.
main concern is whether employer is normally willing to help for the employee's PR application if the employee has no issue with the them or not.
any suggestion or experiece sharing will be very greatful
TIA TIA
P.S: My ANZSCO is 251211(Medical radiation Imaging).

Hi all
I would like to clearify my timeframe for finalizing AHPRA reg.
ICHC issued date is:
29/06/2018 (Singapore)
04/07/2018 (Korea)
COGS issued date is 16/07/2018
According to the in-priciple approval letter, i need to provide statutory declaration if i present in person within 6month of the COGS issue date.
In addition, if I will be presenting for ID check over 6 month from date of issue of my ICHC, I need to arrange a new ICHC which to be sent directly office.
so if I visit the office on 21st December, do I still need to arrange new ICHC?
many thank in advance

Hi all.
any rough ideas how long AHPRA reg. is taking from submission of all docs to reg. in principle? Rough estimates will do
I want to time my notice period in England and inform my Oz Employer of a rough landing date.
I submitted all my stuff about 6 weeks ago and I know the payment was processed about 4 weeks ago.
Hi, SWMOY04
did you got a job offer even before AHPRA reg?
thanx

if you don’t mind, may i ask something?
you said ”I've been (loosely) offered a position as a radiographer in Australia on a TSS visa.”
what does the sentence exactly mean?
and did you seek a job with recruitment agent? or did u directly apply through recruiting web site?
thanx
