Congratulation!
I sometimes think that single applicant has simpler document and takes less time....
You'd think but there has been multiple cases of applications with multiple applications that have applied after me that got approved prior to my VISA, so no rhyme or reason really.

Hi Everyone,
Finally after 367 days of waiting I received my Golden Email - I am in complete shock and it couldn't come as my parents were visiting and we just finished a trip down the Great Ocean Road. I also turn 30 in two weeks so it's literally the best birthday present I could ask for!
Nomination was approved March 9th with no documents requested. VISA approved March 19th with no documents requested. Still doesn't feel real and I think I'm in a bit of shock!
For all those still waiting, please keep being positive and don't let other peoples approvals get you down (I know I struggled when I saw other people who applied after me get approved before me!)See my signature for my timeline. I will update the spreadsheet!

Congrats!
So it means Immigration works on Sundays?
Apologies - My MA received the email yesterday but looks like the document was actually generated on Saturday March 9

Finally some movement on my application!
My nomination was approved yesterday - March 9 2019!
Was feeling really down seeing so many applications getting approved especially that were lodged after mine but its nice to see that Immigration approved my nomination as I think that usually the hardest part!
Stay positive everyone !

Environmental Manager over here
Haven't seen many applicants in science/environmental occupations! Good to know another applicant with similar time frame!

Any environmental scientist/consultants/biologists in this forum?

I was really hoping for PR prior to Australia Day - but no such luck! Congrats to everyone that is celebrating their first Australia Day as a permanent resident!
Looks like immigration is ticking along and hopefully February will be my month - crossing my fingers!

Oh another Canadian in the waiting list I'll have to keep an eye on how things go with you. Hopefully soon you'll get some action.
Yeah unless we see a lot of quick new movement here I'm tempted to hold on just a bit.
Welcome! Haven't seen many Canadians either!
By the looks of other VISAs getting accepted now (Feb-Mar 18) I am hoping that my time is just around the corner !
Let me know if you need any helping figuring out how to get your Canadian fingerprints (if you don't already have them). That was such a pain!

5 months, wow. It will be interesting to see if anyone else gets anything approaching that short timeline in the coming weeks, but definite congrats!
When I filed my application about a month ago I didn't even bother getting medicals or Police clearances, as the 75% "processed by" timline was 15 months and I was sure they'd expire. Might have to rethink that if we see more of the above.
My migration agent advised me not to get my medical done until at least 6 months after I applied to limit the chance of expiry!

We have to keep hope.i bought champagne today in the fridge as positive thinking. I know it’s stressful but not worth being depressed over or worse. Life is too short
I agree! I was really anxious about it in November but have since stopped checking immiaccount all the time and only check here once a week etc. It will happen, just need to wait it out

@Hex My MA is handling everything, do you think I still can check the same?
Yes - I did that. My Migration Agent is handling everything as well and I imported by VISA into my own immiaccount. It gives me so much less worry about what is happening and I feel slightly more in control!

If you have followed this forum for a while, I think there is a pattern-- definitely roles that are now removed from wanted list taking a v long time.
I have only been following for about a month, but it has been a good source of positivity knowing that other people are getting accepted.
My occupation is still on the list. Feel like occupations that have been removed would almost be more of a priority?

Is there any reliability that companies with large #s of staff get accepted/granted earlier? Or certain positions?

Good news guys - 3 of my friends received their 186 TRT visas yesterday.
2 of them applied on 28th January, Social workers, granted 26th November
The other applied on 14th February, granted 26th November.
All LR, single applicants
This is fantastic news! Congrats to them!!
I am getting more hopeful as I see Jan/Feb/Mar VISAs granted.
Friends who have received theirs say its totally life changing and they feel like a huge weight has been lifted off their shoulders!

Good call from your agent on delaying the Health Assessment - this way you wont have to worry about it running out and having to fork out the extra cash to do it again.
From your experience do you think that this will delay the processing time?

Hi All,
Silent reader for a while and now posting I am currently on a 457 and applying for the 186. I have done everything through a migration agent and didn't complete the health assessment until recently (under my migration agents guidance) due to the lag time associated with VISA processing. I know lots of people who applied in Jan and Feb getting their VISAs now (partner, and 186) so I am hoping that I will get mine before Christmas! Talk about early Christmas present!!!
Can someone please post my details in the spreadsheet?Occupation: Environmental Consultant
State: VIC
Birth Country: Canada (Low-risk)
Stream : Temporary Resident VISA ENS 186 TRT
# of applicants: 1
Nomination application and approval: Jan 2018
VISA lodged: March 17th 2018
IMMI Status: received
Delays in Certificates
in Citizenship

Hi guys,
Any help on the matter would be appreciated!
I had my ceremony on May 23 (the Monday after the election) and we didn't receive our certificates as the change in government. I am still waiting on my certificate to arrive but need to apply for my passport (have a trip home planned in September) but obviously can't apply without my certificate number.
Has anyone else experienced this delay? I have spoken to the Passport Office (no help), Home Affairs (no help). My local MP (Albury NSW) has been some help, but surely someone can provide me with my number or tell me if they have been shipped?
Getting desperate!
