Interesting! How much stuff are you taking? We are dithering between a large or a medium and have done a 3 dimensional mock up in the hall! We've not packed boxes yet so I guess we do need to do that. Only thing I'm stockpiling is yarn to feed my yarn addiction habit though where the hell in going to put it when I get there is anyone's guess. How much notice did you have to give the Movecubers?

We booked it around a month ago and changed the size of the box this week. I think you have to give the a weeks notice, but you can change from small to medium on the day. We did a mock up in our spare room but it was very close so thought we'd just pay the extra to avoid mega-stress on the day if things wont go in.

We are taking mainly small items in boxes (around 14 of them) and then some bigger stuff like guitars, amps etc. Loads of vacuum packed clothes! No furniture, No big telly or bikes or anything.

The boxing and itemising was a very long process for us so beware of that!

  2. It's Movecube day for us on Friday! We're all packed and itemised, but have had to go with a medium instead of a small as it's too close to call. This now means that we will have some space in the cube.

What tips do people have about items to stockpile that are particularly expensive in Oz? I recall reading a thread about nappies a while ago but we won't be needing those (yet).

Anything else like this that people can advise so we can make as much use of the space as possible?

    Thanks!

Congratulations🎉🎊Dockers fan here too😝Are you also heading to Perth?

Yeah. We have family in Bunbury but are hope to live in Freemantle or one of the nearby suburbs. I'm going to be a Dockers fan because I understand that they are clearly the worst team in the area which draws me to them.

I still need to learn the rules though.

  4. Hello all!!

I've just had my 309 and 100 emails. Wooooop!

    Timeline....

We were married in September 2018 after living together for around 3 years. No children.

Lodged 19/11/18 - Front loaded and all evidence provided within a week. (Didn't do a form 80).

    Granted 309 & 100 - 24/04/19

    No RFI

Must enter by 24th Nov. Hopefully will go around October time but I need to finish my studies so we can go. Wish we could go tomorrow!

Good luck to everyone else waiting. They seem to be ploughing through them this week!!

  5. Hello all.

Just wondering if I can get added to CEP's fancy spreadsheet please?

We are playing the waiting game also. Just me and my Aussie wife (no kids), aiming to be in WA for September/October.

I lodged my application for 309/100 on 20th Nov. Both Acro and health check done within 2 weeks. All evidence uploaded by mid December, although we've added some small bits in Jan.

I understand we seem to be up to Octoberish from reading through? It's not an exact science though eh?

Hope you all get to hear some good news soon!!

KitCat I missed it too! Only found it from people mentioning it in here! I'm just in the process of doing mine now. It's almost the same as the applicants form but asks a bit more about the sponsor, including countries visited in last ten years. You can do it from your partners immi account, from memory you need to go to the menu and click family then you will find the "sponsor a partner" application option.

I have no idea what's happening here.

I've got my name with a drop down menu which is where I upload all of the docs. I've then got my wife's (sponsor) name and a drop down for docs for her part including the 40sp form for her to fill in. This form has a 'where have you lived in the last 10 years question'.  Isn't this the same thing?

Are you saying that my wife should have her own immi account? I get the impression that things are changing lots at the moment with the updates. Could this be the case or am I missing a really big section?

    Hi Freo81

Fresh from getting my visa today so happy to offer some help.

Of course by uploading all your evidence now will be considered front loading your application.   My definition of front loading is having your health and police checks done ahead of any case officer interaction, which could be wrong haha.

There are the mandatory things to get.  We had three witness statements from Aussie friends who could vouch for the legitimacy of the relationship and application.

We did the form 888 too which seems par for the course.  We didn't get around to uploading my wife's police certificates and some people say a female sponsor is less likely to need to provide them as the focus is around domestic violence apparently, but we were approved anyway.

Other tips.  We forgot to do the sponsor linked application on the immiaccount so make sure you do that, the immigration website is also very clear on the steps needed to demonstrate a true relationship and how to substantiate that.

Otherwise ask questions as someone else will have experience on your questions!

Thanks so much and obviously massive congrats. How on earth is it possible to get the 100 without an officer even taking the application? That's amazing!

We plan to have a few people do 888's for the social bit as well as my wives family who live in Oz.

When you say the sponsor linked application, do you mean the evidence for the sponsor presented in the different drop down menu? We will be doing that for sure.

  8. Hello everyone!

Some lovely stories in this thread which make myself and my wife's aims realistic. We put the first part of our 309/100 in last night and paid the money. We have the long list of evidence to submit now so we'll get to work on that. There's just the two of us - we got married in September and have lived together for three years. She is Aussie but has been living here (Manchester) for seven years. It's time for her to go home and we are aiming to move to WA by Mid September 2019. We decided against an agent as our case (should be) is pretty straightforward.

    I have a few questions....

Is it too late for our application to be seen as 'front loaded'? I'll be calling up tomorrow to book my health assessment in asap. Likewise with the police check.

As we paid the money yesterday, will that forever be the date of our application even though we haven't done the evidence bit yet?

    Any other tips?

It's all pretty daunting but also really bloody exciting.

Any help would be really appreciated!
