  1. Hello guys, unfortunatly I have a bad new. After I have been waiting for 17+ months (whitout any contact from immi, even if I call, complain many many times), my boss has decided to close the business so my agent sent a form to notify the immi about the change in circumstances.

The Next step will be withdraw the nomination and apply to get the money back (at least).

In prevision of a disaster I applied for a 489 Regional the last february so I should listen some from them soon.

I am also eligible now to apply for a 190, but not sure whether spend 10k again or not.

Bit disappointed especially because he gave to me only 6 days notice before close the shop and also after all the sh*** I accepted in the last 3 years.

Good luck to eveybody guys, hope the best for you

  2. Hi Guys I have a similar experience.

Like I have posted weeks ago, I am in BVA but my partner has BVC. One of her family member passed away recently but she couldn t go to visit the family. Now we are waiting for almost 16 months.

We called the immi every day of last week and we got pretty much same answer every time. But on Friday we pick a friendly guy and he looked into our case. We did explain that in the immi website it is written (under BVC) that if you have an urgent situation you should contact your case officer to discuss the solution you have. Well, after we explain all you did an escalation of our case.

So we will see what happen in the comkng weeks

    Hi @Rick92

Hopefully this gets resolved soon! I was wondering if there is a reason you and your partner were issued different Bridging visa? Did you apply separately?

Yes I was on 457 and then applied for 186DE, but when we applied for the 186DE she was stillwaiting the approval to join my 457

    Hi Rick,

My friend was in a similar position waiting way over the processing times - by numerous months, she called immi countless times as she got to nearly 2 years of waiting.  They just provide the same information each time/ generic updates (making me believe it is a helpline/call centre). I haven't heard that calling them helps at all or heard any positive stories of doing so - but by all means give them a call.  She also used the contact means to complain - worded in the best way possible - but had no effect on any progress with her visa.

BVC unfortunately holds the no travel condition - however home affairs website states "If you have an urgent need to travel outside Australia, you should contact your case officer to discuss your options".

Thanks for your answer. I saw the statement, unfortunatly we don t even have a CO assigned. It is totaly unfair

  5. Hi guys, almost silent reader few times poster.

I applied in dec 2017 (stream DE), still waiting. Profession Baker.

With the new processing time I am over the timeline of nearly 3 months.

I tried to contact the immi couple of times but I got general answers.

Now I am thinking to call the 133 177 the number for the feedback and complaints. The point will be that my partner has lost a member of her family in dec 2018, but she holds BVC so she couldn t travel back to Italy. It s unbelievable how they treat the situation we have the application "decision ready", everything is there.

    Any suggestion?

    What are you asking please?

If you don't meeting the conditions of your 489 and come to apply for an 887 there is a very high chance it won't be granted and will need to lease Australia when the 4 year 489 expires.

Yes I know....I mean, I have an invitation for murray (nsw). What about after grant the visa I go to another regional area different from murray but still regional

Yes I applied for a DE visa with 2 years fulltime experience and a relevant study (if not you need 3 years) . Within the 2 years there was 1.5 years fulltime plus a year parttime which counts for half of the time amount (so 0.5 years experience)

I wasn t aware about the relevant study. Are you sure it counts for the three years work exp? Do you have a kind of diploma?

  8. Hi guys as far as I know for 186DE you need 3 years of work experience, let s say you lodge your visa after 1.5 year of 457 (and before you have been worked with your boss for another 6 months) so total 2 years,  then you need to prove you had another 1 year experience (reference letter, payslip, contract...can be used to prove that). It is important that your full 3 years shold be completed BEFORE you lodge the visa, the waiting time doens t count

Of course NOT. I was baker took 8 months to approve nomination and 2 more months for final visa grant. Its not about occupation rather about business circumstances. Hope you hear back soon

Thanks I appreciate your answer. Probably it s also because I applied DE stream. Can be the reason. Anyway my MA said shouldn t take more then 2 more months.

    But we never know...
