    Thanks Buddy!!

I'll have a chat to my MA about it

Another thing to note that should make you feel a bit more positive about the situation is that my housemate had the exact same problem. She had been arrested at the age of 14 for shop lifting so her police check also said 'No Live Trace'. She is now 30 years old, and a really great genuine, trustworthy and hard working person! Her MA prepared a Stat Dec and immigration approved her visa with no other questions asked.

    Hi Guys,

Our application has gone through to Further assessment.

Since my last post my partner and I have had a bit of a shock. On the 29th Jan we were asked to organise our AFP, UK Police Check and also our health check. We thought, great, we are getting super close.

We organised our AFP and got those back within a few days and managed to book our health checks in super quick. Both AFP and Health check came back positive and obviously no issues. We applied for our ACRO police checks and my partner had a bit of a shock when we got these back. She has "No Live Trace" on her police check. She remembered that she had 2 warnings for shoplifting in 2004 and referral order for carrying a novelty lighter with a serrated edge but didn't think these would appear because these took place when she was a minor.

In 2012 my partner got a police check done for her job as an airline hostess and this came back clean. This check we now realise was not as in depth as an ACRO police check. My partner had the understanding that because this police check was clean that no records as a minor would affect her adult life. She used this same police check for her 1st visa here in Australia in 2012 which was a partner visa with her ex and she also used it for her 457 visa after she split up with her ex back in 2013.

As soon as we could we submitted a notification of incorrect answers along with a copy of the old police check that we luckily had on file. We then submitted the Acro police check.

My partner is feeling incredibly sad as this innocent mistake could cause immigration to invoke PIC 4020 which could be devastating to our application.

I am still keeping positive as we are good people and we both have had a clean record in the UK and Australia since. There is nothing we can do to change this situation it is what it is.

All I ask is for everyone to throw positive vibes in the air for us both and hope that immigration will take this information lightly and approve our visa.

I'll keep you updated with our progress.

    Good luck everyone!!!

Would it not be worth getting a Stat Dec signed by a JP? A bit like the Form 80 I did this before immigration potentially asked for it.

Its another form of evidence to show you are of good character etc.

See link below to the form:

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form-listing/forms/character-statutory-declaration.pdf

    Hope this helps a bit!

DE or TRT if TRT can you tell me about your  training benchmarks because you lodge after  12 august 2018 , did you shows both 2years training benchmarks Plus  SAF levy or just paid SAF levy and lodge your nomination?

TRT stream - we just paid for the SAF levy. There is no need to upload any training evidence unless immigration request it. However they made it very clear that the SAF was replacing the training benchmarks. It would be highly unlikely that they request evidence of previous training expenditure.

  5. Hi all,

I remind you that my nomination got approved in 5.5 months (28th August - 12th February) and:

    - We are a very small company (3 people)

    - I am the first and only immigrant employee

    - We do not have an MA

    - My occupation is on the STOL

This forum is a very small percentage of the tens of thousands of applications they receive.

So even though we may see trends on here, they may not even exist!

    STAY POSITIVE! 🙂

  6. I completed my medical this morning as my nomination was approved on the 12th February and it was very unexpected! My last updated date has been changed to 15th Feb which I am assuming is because my medical results are starting to be uploaded, not because anyone is looking at my file!

I understand this is immigration we're talking about, and it could be literally any time - but I am just interested if there is a common time in between nomination approval and visa approval?

From peoples experience, what are your thoughts? Be intrigued to hear what people have seen/read! Cheers!

Out of interest, was this the first 186 Nomination in the company?

Reason I ask, is my manager was our first in the  business, and his PR was approved within 3 months, everyone else over 8 months.. Curious if there's a link between first nominations being solicited by a separate IMMI team.

The whole application has just been pure luck! I do not know who is looking down on me from above...

But like everyone on here, this process has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety.

It is a very small firm, we did the application ourselves, and I am the first and only immigrant to work for the company.

I have been totally blessed and I am very grateful.

I understand that I am one of the lucky ones having only waited 5.5 months for a silver approval, but I want everyone to hang on in there because your good news is coming, and the support on this group is really special!

So we got a refusal as well in 2018 and we only did our medicals for this application. When we withdraw the refused application and applied again, our medicals renew automatically.

I don't know how it exactly works but the expiry date is  6/11/19 even though we did it in Nov 2017.

What was the reason for your refusal @natmis ?

  11. I know we all may feel slightly deflated to see the waiting times have increase slightly. However - the 90% of applications has decreased by 1 month which I believe is the more important figure! It is still showing that waiting times are decreasing on the whole. We've recently seen a lot of late Feb - mid March applications approved meaning overall the backlog has nearly been processed! I understand some of you are still waiting from much earlier, which is very frustrating! But we are all in this situation together, and I am positive that waiting times over the coming months will begin to return to back to a more 'normal' time frame now the backlog is coming to an end!

  12. Is the spreadsheet still being used/up to date with?

I am definitely starting to see a shift in reduced waiting times for the first time in over a year!

Would be good to get that documented by one of the admins?

Cheers! And congrats to all with recent approvals - my details are below:

    Occupation: Architectural Draftsperson

    Country: Low Risk - UK

    State: NSW

    Stream: TRT

    No. of Applicants: 1

    Nomination + Visa Submission: 28th August 2018

    IMMI Status: Received

  13. I believe the processing times should decrease as they reach the March applications onwards. I read that Immigration are not making employers subject to the training benchmarks and the new SAF levy regulations simultaneously. These were part of the March 1st changes. This means they will be able to go through applications faster as they do not have to check receipts against complicated payroll balance sheets.
