VISA GRANTED TODAY !
I cant believe the visa came today after only 9 months from the lodgment.
No more docs asked although 3 weeks ago I asked my MA if I need the new police clearance ( since the previous one was expired) and she said there was not need . But I insisted and we uploaded it in application ( lucky i insisted cuz by now the Officer would have asked the police clearance)
Guys pls be faithful and patient, especially to whom is waiting for long time , the visa is on its way to you. And trust your MA only 95% . Not 100% .
Please someone update the spreadsheet
Lodgment was on 12 feb 2018 and please make this correction: 2 of us and not 1 . Low risk +high risk countries.

Every time I asked this question (this forum, my own MA, etc.) they say that the current processing time is applied to all visas I'm afraid (that's also why they update this time on immi portal), however, from what I can see here, we have a lot of applications from Feb approved at the moment, so it's definitely within the first timeframe which was 9 months...
Anyway, as you probably know already, there is no point to make assumptions, this is totally random
I think in this forum the majority of ppl applied in Feb ( check the spreadsheet) that's why we hear more news for February's ppl .

Hi Poms in Oz family,
Does anyone know where we stand with unpaid leave whilst our visa is still processing?
In Feb of next year I plan to go back to the uk for 6 months- I am hoping I have a visa by then but just trying to gauge worse case scenario.
I have been waiting 19 months so far so would like to think I should be soon however as a hairdresser I know that might not be the case.
If I go on unpaid leave and they open my visa will there be an issue?
Thanks in advance.
Cant be sure but you should be allowed for 3 months in total of unpaid leave without affecting the visa

Did they update the processing time yet?
186 and 187?
The web site has changed ( at least from phones) it's hard to find out where is the "update date" of processing time

Hi All. Just came across this forum, and just want to thank whoever thought of creating this. It helps knowing I'm not alone in this slow and painful journey. Lol!
I have lodged my visa application for ENS 186 DE Accountant (General) on 01/03/2018. Do you guys think there's ANY chance I might get an update before end of this year? And what are the chances of a positive outcome? Also, I've heard I cannot quit my current job until I receive the grant (or not) as that will be termed as sabbatical and that could lead to outright rejection of my application. Anyone able to advise on this please? Any comments/opinions will be helpful at this time Good luck to us all!Hi . You got 50% of chances they approve your visa before xmas .
Yes it is true you cant quit your job untill visa comes otherwise they may reject you application.

Hello guys . Happy Friday to everyone!!!
Just wondering.....
What questions have you been asked when the department made a call ? I've heard of many ppl getting called .
Do they call to the company which sponsored you? What do they ask?
Thank you in advance

Not sure if it's been asked before.
We are on 457, applied 186 in Feb.
As far as I understand we are eligible for Medicare (blue or something like this).
Question: if we will apply to Medicare and we will get it, do we still need to pay for 457 Health Insurance (Private fund)?
As far as I understand as we are still on 457 (expires 2020) we must have the appropriate level of cover. Is Medicare cover good enough?
How does it work?
Thanks.
Yes but medicare does not cover ambulance services (mandatory for who isnt permanent yet ) so you can cancel ur private health insurance and enroll medicare + find your selfr a cheap ambulance service provider . I ve got st. John ambulance $80 per year family pack

Hello everybody!!
Can someone tell me ( whom got the phone call from department of immigration) what have you been asked? Or if they call to the HR of your company what did they ask ? .
I've heard of phone calls a couple of days or in some cases a couple of hours before the grant of PR .
Thank you and stay strong ...

I have one question i applied 186 direct entry i got bridging visa a with no conditions can i drive uber as part time in evening
No ! Dont do that ! Your working situation must follow the rules of your previous visa ! So if you was sponsored with an australian business so it means you must earn money only through that exact business

If you get onto your MA they should tell you

If is processing it means you will get the visa in few days !!!! And i wish it to you !

My MA request my sponsor to lodge a renewal for the sponsoship ( the company that nominated me first with 456 in october 2015 and nominated me for PR in feb 2018 . My MA rekon that would be better to do so for when the DIBP will get to my visa application . My MA also said because she wasn't sure whether the sponsor shoul paybthe training or not . So she said ( MA ) doing a renewal and not pay training ...
Anybody else had smthe same procedure done from MA?
Thank you
