Congrats! Great news, any details that can help us out. How long you jave been together, did u have alot of proof and are you male or female?

    We applied from Pakistan

We are married for under an year

I applied for the visa 2 months after marriage

Did Rukhsti and waleema on August, before grant.

From my posts it sounds like I am applicant but actually I applied on behalf of my wife and did most of the paperwork 😛

if any specific questions, you can ask

We applied in January 18 from Islamabad and it’s been over 8 months now. We have had absolutely no contact from the high commission. Not even the generic email people seem to be getting on this forum by the 7th month. Not sure why it’s taking so long for us!

Generic email doesn't mean much. I applied December and got generic email in July. My friends applied in Jan and Feb they haven't got generic emails yet. I believe they do cases on a month by month basis. December applicants haven't gotten interviews yet according to forum.

I'm guessing anyone who applied after Dec 2017 won't get a generic email until next month or so

I have applied visa for my wife, her name on Educational document is little different from her Passport name ( as her name has 'Caste' attached in Educational documents only, so her name is like caste + Passport name)

I have already mentioned this thing while filling the forms that her name is different on educational documents (caste attached)

will it effect the application ? or do we need to submit some additional documents for it ?

    Any sincere advice ?

I don't think it matters. Its good to attach a letter under other documents explaining the difference.

I used to live in KSA at some point and all my KSA documents had wrong name, wrong spelling, wrong date of birth etc. This included police certificate, KSA visa etc. I explained to immi the reasons why this is in a seperate letter. In the forms I didn't say I had a different name because it wasn't true (similar to your name + caste, my issue was it was my first name + father's full name on all docs). Immi didn't mention anything and got grant (this was for subclass 476)

Your 9 months have just concluded. I hope your wife gets a call today so that we can get some indication around if its still taking approximately 9 months in processing applications from Pakistan. Please keep us posted if you get a call!

When you received that email on 18 July, did it also show up on the immi account?

Hey. No immi account was not updated. I did read somewhere maybe in this thread or elsewhere that this email doesn't show up in immi account. Immi account only shows updates for official communication (e.g. application received) or further information requests from case officer apparently.

Yes two months since that email will elapse by tomorrow (although I am counting weeks and it is currently the 9th week, quite a brutal wait I must say :/)

Sure will keep it posted here

Thank you for the reply ? It is mentioned on the home affairs website that we need to notify them. Should I mention it in the invitation letter that have also applied for the spouse visa? Sorry to hear about your refusal ? Me and my husband both will attach our bank statements. What do you think should the average bank balance be for them to approve it?

I am unsure how much bank balance should be shown. Depends on your stay duration. I guess 6000 is a safe bet for the sponsor. For the applicant, depends on your status. If you are working, then payslips and latest statement should suffice. Refer to the document list for best guidance. Hi, anyone here who applied for a family sponsored visa 600, while already having applied for a spouse visa? How do you notify the department that you are applying for the second one? What are the chances of family sponsored one getting approved?

Hey. You just mention in the application form that you have already applied for a subclass 309 visa (if you wish). Do not apply for a subclass 309 visa if your wife hasn't been overseas before or doesn't have a job when she is currently living as it dramatically reduces the chances (I think overseas travel is more important). I had my subclass 600 family sponsored refused primarily due to not demonstrating strong financial roots and no prior overseas travel (my wife is in uni so unsure how I could prove otherwise)

They call you and potentially your partner without warning. They call from this phone number: 051-8355500. Best to save it in your phone so you know who's calling when the phone rings.

No, uploading docs after the date makes no difference to your processing. You can upload docs whenever you want up until the time your application has been decided upon.

Thank you for the clarification and information ?

I'll keep my timeline updated as things go. So far no call.

  8. Just wondering to those who have got the interview. How do they contact you guys? Will they pre-arrange a time over email or will they just randomly call and you need to pick up the phone there and then?

    My timeline so far:

    DOL: 17/12/2017

All docs submitted including biometrics/medicals: 15/01/2018

    Generic email: 18/07/2018

Uploaded missing docs as per generic email: 13/08/2018

Also, I uploaded a couple of other docs after the above date... does uploading documents later push you back in the queue? I don't think so but what do you guys think?
