  1. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has any information or experience with a Bridging Visa B.

I'm currently on a BVA, having applied for a Partner Visa (820/801) just over one year ago. I'm looking to visit my family in the U.K. and booked my flights for the 4/12/2019 returning to Australia 6/12/2020. The BVB can be applied for between 3 months and 2 weeks prior, so I'm looking to submit an application soon, my questions are:

    1. For substantial reason, can I just put 'To visit family and spend time with them over the Christmas period, having not visited for 2 and a half years'? Or any other advice what to put?

    2. What is the timeline for how soon they grant the BVB prior to departure if I apply now?

    3. Attaching supporting evidence, I am unsure what to submit. I am guessing a flight itinerary may be enough?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I have completed my form 80 apart from this section, I'm from the U.K and have listed all the dates for travel for holidays/trips etc. I am unsure whether they assume I just returned to the U.K after my holidays or visits, or do I need to write that I then traveled back to the U.K and stayed until the next holiday I went on...

For example, can I just write:

    05/09/2015-15/09/2015 Holiday to Greece
    10/10/2016 -22/10/2016 Holiday to France
    12/11/2017-16/7/2017 Holiday to Italy

or do I need to write

    05/09/2015-15/09/2015 Holiday to Greece
15/09/2015-10/10/2016 Return from Holiday to my Home U.K
    10/10/2016 -22/10/2016 Holiday to France
22/10/2016-12/11/2017 Return from Holiday to my Home U.K
    12/11/2017-16/7/2017 Holiday to Italy

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello,

I'm currently filling in the dreaded Form 80. Under the International travel/movement section, do you have to include time spent in Australia? (As it says countries outside Austraia) Also does it automatically assume you would be in the country of your residence/citizenship? (So in my case it would be the UK) The wording is a touch confusing but I'm guessing I don't need to include every year/visit/time spent in the UK.

    Any help would be good

    Cheers

I'm also struggling with this, for example I have put any travel I have gone on for Holidays, although I'm unsure if I have to then put my return back to my usual country of residence (U.K).

For example, can I just write:

    05/09/2015-15/09/2015 Holiday to Greece
    10/10/2016 -22/10/2016 Holiday to France

or do I need to write

    05/09/2015-15/09/2015 Holiday to Greece
15/09/2015-10/10/2016 Return from Holiday to my Home U.K
    10/10/2016 -22/10/2016 Holiday to France
