When did you pay your AoS bond?  Just wondering how long it took from that to them asking for 2nd VAC.

I paid my AOS bond on 27th May 2018, and it took centrelink more than 2 months to issue an Acceptance letter

After I submit the Acceptance letter to the Department of Home Affairs it only takes them about 2 weeks to send me the 2nd VAC request

when did u applied for 143..??

Hi thank you and I hope my good news give you good vibes too

    Visa applied on April 2015

Invitation of document preparation on Oct 2017

Request for document and medical check on April 2018

The medical check has an issue with tuberculosis concern, so additional medical check required and takes 3 months

2nd vac requested  and bank check and form 815 sent on 22 Aug

    Now waiting for updates

I hope the form 815 will not delay the visa granting

  3. Dear friends

I have received the 2nd vac request ($43600) of 143 visa application and I have sent form 815 via Email and posted the bank check of $43600 on 22nd of Aug. ( I knew that pay by credit card is faster but 1.3% surcharge is just ridiculous, so the surcharge amount will be more than $500)

How long does it take to get the visa granted

    Many thanks

  4. Hi everyone

After lodged Bond Guarantee, two months later, no update, the customer service (132850) offered no help at all.

I have tried 1800 571 922, the phone number can get you to the AOS assessment team right away. The officer saw that my delay was quite significant and she just issued the Acceptance Letter on the same day. The entire process for my application is more than 8 months!

I  suggest you do not call the number unless you have gone through a significant delay, otherwise, the people from the assessment team will decline to look at your case. If your delay was significant and the 132850 people do not offer proper help, then try this 1800 number

Hi @Sydneypianoteacher, I've been in a similar position. They told me that they didn't get notification when we submitted our bank guarantee through my.gov, so you could try going to local branch and lodge the bank guarantee in person. Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi Peter

I actually checked with centerlink people over the phone, they say they can see that I have uploaded and they even point out that I have uploaded some pages twice. The "Notification" you mentioned, are you saying that their system might not send the update (newly uploaded documents) to them if we upload documents via mygov,   they only get notified updates when we submit documents via centerlink office?

  6. AOS application submitted 28 Nov 2017

    Phone Interview    22 May 2018

    Bank Guarantee lodged 27 May

.....Have not received the Acceptance Letter yet

More than 8 months waiting in total,  more than 2 months waiting since Bank Guarantee was done.

I have called centrelink several times, spoken with 2 supervisors who promise to mark my applictaion as "urgent" , but I have not seen anyone who has been waiting longer than me.  What else can I do?   Very frustrated

The 143 application was submitted on April 2015, the case officer wrote me to saying all other documents has been processed, just waiting for the AOS acceptance letter.

  7. AOS extremely long delay!!!!!

AOS application lodged on 28 Nov 2017

Bank Guarantee made on 25 May 2018

Date of today  26 July 2018

About 8 months waiting so far, still have not received the Acceptance Letter

I was wondering if my application has the longest waiting time.   Apart from making a complaint within centrelink, speaking to AOS phone center supervisor or writing to the minister of human services, is there anything I should do?   The 143 application has been assessed by the case officer, and he said he has reviewed all documents, just waiting for the AOS acceptance letter.

    Hi dear friends

I have done and submitted Bank Guarantee ( bond of $10000AUD) on 25 May 2018 for the AOS application

and I am still waiting for the Acceptance Letter from the centrelink. Today is 17 July 2018

Is it normal to wait that long? I have phoned the centrelink 2 times, they always say "the application will be finalised soon" but they refuse to give any time frame.

My understanding is that once bank guarantee request was made, it means that the AOS application is assessed and approved, so Bank Guarantee is needed before issuing Acceptance Letter. Please correct me if I am wrong

There are the dates of the entire visa application for your reference

April 2015   143 visa application submitted

Oct 2017     Parents Visa team from WA invited my mom to prepare documents (  AOS , Form 80, Police check and medical check)

28 Nov 2017    AOS submitted by me via centrelink office in Sydney

13 April 2018   Parents Visa Team Case office assigned

15 April 2018  Phone interview from the centrelink AOS team

16 April  2018   Form 80,  Police check, medical check  and submitted to Parents Visa team,    medical check got some issues due to the                                          suspected  lung problem, an additional medical check is required which takes another 3 month

Besides, requested extension of submitting ducoments due to the long processing time of AOS and additional medical exam   (                              (2 weeks later, the request was granted by  a  different case officer)

25 May 2018   centrelink required me to put Bank Guarantee

Bank Guarantee was done on the same day and relevant document was scanned via mygov

16 July 2018   My mom has done the additional health check

17 July 2018...Today, still waiting for the Acceptance Letter from Centrelink

CENTERLINK, THE WORST GOV AGENCY ON THE PLANET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been about 2 months since the bank guarantee bond of lodged, still no update. Called centerlink twice, (the second time I have spoken with the supervisor)  no effective solution has been offered.  They always say, if you are concerned about the delayed AOS, you need to contact the department of home affairs, and then the Home Affairs people say they can not do anything to put any influence to AOS cause AOS is handled by centerlink.  Besides, all centerlink operators say they are not allowed to contact AOS team. Then, what is the point of setting up the useless customer service center that not being able to provide any help at all?

I have lodged a complaint online, and after spending 15 mins filling the form online, the centerlink system says your session has expired and window closed. So I have to write again but on word doc instead, and copy -paste just in case the centerlink play with you again.
