The answer depends. If you applied for the 186 without a genuine intention to work for your employer for the full 2-year period, and it is determined that the application was made with fraudulent or misleading claims, then you can lose your 186.

However, if the application was made on genuine grounds, but the employment relationship has subsequently broken down, or ended due to the nature of normal staff turnover (or other standard employment issues) then your 186 will continue without any problems.

what if you have a tempting offer with a lucrative package...

    Hi Mustung

I applied my visa on the same as yours 3 april 2018 (nomination was approved last yr Feb). I paid VAC2 on the same day it was requested 27-2-2019.

Now waiting 20 days. My status stays as "Received" even now. Possibly because no other docs were requested. I am anxious as one of my overseas pcc expired last week.

Fingers crossed. Hoping for a grant this week ....

    HI Mate,

any update on your Visa Grant?

  5. Hi Mates,

Requested Department to send Invoice for the second instalment of the visa application charge (VAC) for my Spouse on 17th Mar, 2019.

Application Status Changed to Further assessment on the same day.

How long department normally takes to issue out Invoice and after paying how much more to wait.:).

  6. Hi Folks,

Just received the call from MA. The nomination has been approved.
Let's see how much more to wait to see the Application Decision.

Normally what is the timeline from Nomination to Final Visa grant?.

Keep your spirits high and don't lose the hopes. Everyone's day will come..:)

I'm not an expert but from various Googling I've had to do (I found it quite confusing to start with) this is the conclusion I've come to:

You'll still need to have sufficient medical insurance (as well as Medicare) until the 186 is granted.

In some circumstances (level of health insurance you're paying for, reciprocal healthcare country etc.) you might be able to be exempt from the levy when you do your tax return - I'd check with your MA and health insurance provider to be sure though

Hey guys, long time lurker (actually since I applied for a partner visa back in 2010!)

I was very fortunate to receive my visa grant this morning but I was never on the spreadsheet so wanted to update here.

    186 TRT

    Occupation: IT Customer Support

    LR

    1 Applicant

    Applied: Feb 16th 2018

    Granted: Nov 23rd 2018

i actually have no idea when the nomination was approved because work used a migration agent who were going to contact me when approved  I assume that it must have been approved together

I know I haven’t waited as long as some so I just want to wish you all good luck!

Also because it’s been a hot topic I uploaded form 80 yesterday because I didn’t want to have any delays if it was needed.

have you submitted Overseas Police Clearance Certificate with your application

Hi. Is there anyone who can read and understand our financial report if theres any negative numbers or strong enough with finance of my company  because its been 8mths since I lodged 186 trt Chef and I am little anxious about our financial situation. We spent 2 millions on renovation by building poki room in 2016 and since then we have some minus profit which makes me worried

I am working at small Rsl club in Sydney and I know financial stability is the most important part of nomination.

    Thank you

  13. Hi Folks,

I visited Centre link to apply for Interim Medicare Card. Lady told, Medicare issues Interim Card to applicants having Active Bridging Visa. I am on 457 and applied for 186 DE Stream, got Bridging Visa acknowledgement instantly with Status in Active. I thought whoever have applied for PR is eligible to apply medicare card.. Any thoughts
