Rana bro me and my employer hav tried everysingle thing. Even formal complaints and all othee ways. They hav very strict answer wait for case officer. I think may be my case officer himself hav applied for skilled migration and he is waiting for his visa and once he will land in Australia then he will wrk on my file

    ???

You could try contacting your local MP. They have direct lines to immigration and can be really helpful sometimes - especially in a case like yours. It's not usual for an MPs office to follow up on immigration concerns for constituents ?

It's been a year and over, since I applied 186. My MA got me to do the PCC and AFP before lodging visa. So those are also over an year old. Should I get them done again or wait for the department to ask for it ?  Any suggestions Please ???

On my MAs advice I got updated AFP checks and Police checks for my home country and uploaded. It seems to depend on the case officer if they request new ones after 12 months or not. It can't hurt to get them renewed, one less thing for them to request and to slow down the processing of your application.

    Hi GTK,

Did you apply through 186 TRT or 187 DE? How come it took 20 months?

Hi KazBaker - I applied via Direct Entry. There's absolutely no reason for why it took so long, I was just one of the very unlucky ones. I used an MA, nomination was approved without request for any other information, only additional info for the visa application was a renewed medical as it had been more than 12 months since I first did it (I had previously uploaded renewed AU and home police checks on my MAs recommendation). As soon as my case was opened the whole things was processed and granted in a week!

Hi guys, we are waiting for the 186 de marketing specialists from 11 of may 2017,any visa granted around this month? Thanks

Hi Jayger - I applied September 2016 (marketing specialist) and had the visa granted at the end of May 2018. I have a friend who applied September 2017 (marketing specialist as well) and had their visa granted 17 June 2018. Hope this helps.

  5. Hi,

I'm a long time reader of this forum but never contributed. I was fortunate enough to have my 186 visa approved a few weeks back and thought I'd share the details and give some hope to others, especially Marketing Specialists on here who are still waiting:

    So here goes:

Direct Entry 186, Marketing Specialist (low risk country)

Nomination and Visa Application: 23 September 2016

    Medical number 1 undertaken: 13 December 2016

Renewed AU and home police checks uploaded circa Jan 2018 (this was a suggestion from my MA as it had been over 12 months)

    Nomination Approved: 22 May 2018

Further Medicals Requested: 23 May 2018

Medical number 2 undertaken: 24 May 2018 (so lucky to get an appointment so quickly)

Medicals on Immi system by 25 May 2018

    Visa Granted: 30 May 2018

No additional information other than the medical was requested.

All up my application took 20 months and 7 days!

Good luck to everyone, I know it doesn't mean much when you are waiting but everything will work out in the end. Stay strong and positive.
