I know this post in quite old but I am due to take my Ielts on the 27th of April and im pretty worried about the academic writing part. which parts did you find most difficult?

I am also about to qualify with a Masters in social work in June so looking to get a skills assessment done as soon as to progress to the next step of EOI.

Did you find it difficult to get work. Also did you get a 189 visa?

No. I don't get extra points for the Masters. I will need to do the English Test as well as I will have no experience of social work practice. I have 15 years experience of working in homelessness though so not sure if this counts as the experience they are looking for to register. I am registered with the SSSC.

What kind of social work experience do you have? Where is Oz are you hoping to settle?
