  1. FYI

"Visas approved for the regional sponsored migration scheme have fallen from 20,510 five years ago to 6,221 last year."

"There are still more than 20,000 applications to be assessed under the old rules, but the processing of these has slowed to a trickle.

"The long processing delay — now around two years — is affecting the prospects of these applications, according to Mr Hourigan.

""The processing times are now so long that nominations involving offshore applicants are being refused on 'genuineness' grounds, " he said."

  2. Horror story.

MA called my partner's co-worker who is also being sponsored by their company since March 2017. At fist, they were excited getting a call from their MA. But then MA asked them if they removed their file from Immi. They were surprised because they had no access to their account, having trusted everything to their MA. So MA told them that someone deleted their account in Immi and MA only found out because the MA's office was following up the application because so many RSMS applications have been approved already. The applicants were devastated and crying. This happened last week.

What happened was this. Immi has been updating computer files lately and their file was accidentally deleted by the IT people! Fortunately, Immi had backups and found out that their file was there. Now Immi is asking them for updated medical and AFP so it looks like they are getting their golden ticket soon.

Ask your MAs to check your files if they are still there if you have no access.

    Hello Friends
I am Silent follower in this forum
I am finally to send my status
I got refusal my Nomination dated on 18 Oct 2018 and visa will refuse soon
I applied RSMS on Jan 2017 with Nomination
    Position: Motor mechanic
    I am on BVE
My MA told me to apply AAT
I have question about my work experience , I am working as a motor mechanic from jan 2017
So is this experience is counted in Future visa 489 or 190 visa ?
Is anyone know any alternative way ?
Your help will be much appreciated

Strange that you have been rejected. Motor mechanic is in great demand.
Go for AAT if you like working for your present company, you will probably be given a favourable decision. HOWEVER, if you are eligible for points under 190, that is better because they process faster.

reason. Owner is the not the direct owner of the business and not operating from the adress provided.

    ...

bit of frustration, confused should i do the appeal or complete the study?

If this is true, you have no chance to win in AAT.

Hi guys, just a quick question.

My contract states the employment will lasts for 4 years under visa 187, and I have plan to work for about 2 years (meeting visa condition). Does the immigration is going to question anything? I'm just confused there maybe some conflicts between employment law and immigration law?

That may actually be positive for your PR visa to be approved as it shows your employer is keen to employ you that long. This shows that the business has a genuine need for you. Ifnyou wish to leave after two years, cross the bridge when you get there.

Today my employer withdrew my nomination without asking me anything. Got notification from immi. Ha .... Today this world shows me real teeth. We are familly with a child

Move immediately somewhere else. My friend had the same experience. He employer suddenly told her that they will no longer sponsor her as planned. She was living in Canberra with her husband and four children. They immediately moved to the Northern Territory. She is going to apply for state nomination there. She is happy there and is sure to get state nomination according to the MA she spoke to there.

The Coalition Government is saying one thing but doing the exact opposite. How can they say they want more people in regional areas and yet drag the process and reject more applicants than ever before even as they drastically increase the number of temporary workers? Lying bastards. All the while, we are forced to passively wait and endure. We are the new indentured servants of Australia.

Yes but it wont affect those already waiting. It will apply to new applicants.

And good news is, now with the new Prime Minister, they wont be refusing without asking for further documents.

I certainly hope that this also speeds up the screening process.

Hi, if i secure my visa and after working for like a year and my employer granted me a year or 2 years study leave, will immigration cancel the

Immigration may cancel your visa if they find out unless your study leave is related to your work with your employer and you have an agreement in place saying you will return to work for your employer after your study leave. Make sure any arrangement is properly documented just in case immigration checks. With all computerisation going on and interdepartment linkaging, it is so easy for immi to check if your are getting paid by your employer and paying taxes. If they notice you are not getting paid, they will ask your employer where you are.

That said, this is just my opinion. Check with an immigration official if possible, or an immigration expert.

I got my visa on 14 August and nominations 5 th July
Now my boss trying to sale businesses but she had disputes with landlord that’s why she is closing down and of this month and my 457 visa was finish last year and I was in brigging visa
All together I work 5 years with her
Would I get any problem in future because of closing business to get my citizens
Plz any recommendations from any one
    I’m so stressed now

Just inform immigration that business is closing down and cite reasons why. An accompanying letter from you employer may also help. As far as I know, you are not in violation of anything or of good faith. You are free to find another job. Move to NT!
