Bro one of my friend is from Pakistan, he has three years relevant work experience. He was thinking to apply through DE now, But his MA told him as per 18th March update you couldn't apply as a cook through DE, you can apply through TRT after completing your two years on 457.

Is there any chance to apply through DE as a cook now?

Yes it's too late now, normally TRT take 9 to 11 months.

In last few months they made many changes.

Few months ago they increased DE time and reduced the TRT time. And now they decreased the DE time and massive increased the TRT time which is upto 12 months now.

As per my understanding TRT time will decrease cause of the abolish of 457 visa 186 applications load will reduce.

What do you think guys?

Hi guys, lets make a WhatsApp group for sc186 updates.

I'm keep looking processing time for sc186 through TRT, in December 2017 is was 8 to 10 months and it reduced in January 2018 (from 8 to 10 months) to 6 to 7 months which is really good news, and in February it increased again and reached to 8 to 10 months, and it remains same in March. I was expecting it will decrease again because after 18 April 2017 there are very few sc457 visa approved so because of the reduce load of application it will definitely reduce the processing time too.

And i shocked on 23rd April 2018 that the TRT time increased and reaches upto 11 to 12 months. And DE time decreased. It's really surprising for me. 

I hope it will reduce again in coming months.

I am in contact with my lawyer, he told me your two years are completing in April 2019, so you will able to apply in first week or April 2019.

and he said that you don't need to worry because your case is 100 percent genuine, you will definitely get you sc186 within the relevant time frame.

what's your opinion about my case?

i applied 186 trt on 2-06-2017 restaurant (cafe)manager. Case officer called in my cafe yesterday. Luckily I picked the phone. He asked for manager and I said I m speaking. He asked me some questions regarding my wages and staff. He said he is processing my nomination file. After half an hour my MA emailed me for further documents request. Which is record of my paid holiday, last three years notice of assessments, recently 4 payslips, companies BAS latest 2years and profit and loss statement.  I am sending these documents within a week. Hopefully everything will b ok.

mine is same restaurant manger. visa granted on 1 April 2017, waiting for two year to lodge through TRT. I don't have relevant experience to lodge through DE.
