After interview call we received an email requesting statement regarding rukhsati and photographs of rukhsati ceremony.
PS: we had our rukhsati ceremony just 3 days before interview, about which we had informed the interviewer during interview.
Hi Ahmed,
have you mentioned yourself regarding ruksati and valima ceremony or the interviewver asked by him/her self?
and when you mentioned this, what was the tone of interviewver +ve or -ve?
thanks in advance..

Hi
Taking into consideration we are applying through different offices and not sure the turn around times for different areas but we seem to be in the same place.
Have you tried contacting them via email maybe to asking politely if anything further is required? You may get a generic response but worth a try. Check the website for you contact options.
Thanks missA
i haven’t knocked their door yet.
Did you tried contacting them or have they contacted you themselves?
whats your place of application?

Hi All,
Today we have received first email from AHC after lodgement. The email contains the document checklist. The case officer has not asked for any specific documents, instead case officer has asked us to check if any document from checklist is missing and provide that within in 14 days. We have already provided most of the documents.
I have a couple of questions regarding checklist.
- They have asked for 2 Form 888 from Aus Citizens/Residents and 2 statutory declarations from Pakistani declarants. We have already provided 2 From 888 from pakistani declarants as statutory declaration, as we don't have any aus friends who know both applicant and sponsor. I (sponsor) have some aus friends but they only know me not my wife (applicant). So how can I provide 2 Form 888 from Aus declarants?
- For all who have been granted visa, how much time it took for visa grant after you received such email from AHC?

Hi,
When did you have your medicals and when did you submit police clearance report?
what is the Location of the main applicant?

There is a serious misconception among Pakistani applicants that visa is not being granted just on Nikah. It is actually incorrect.
They assess your overall application. If you fulfill the criteria mentioned, nothing would stop you from visa being granted.
A friend of mine recently has been granted visa. She mentioned during the interview that they only had one function and the other events will be happening once the visa is granted. You have solid reasons why your ruksati wasn’t done such as none of your family members are living in Pakistan etc. (note: everyone has their own reasons)
anyway they were granted visa in 9 months and 20 days.
I think there is no point in lying about ruksati and valima if they haven’t had happened. If you lie, they will ask for pics and may dig deeper to find out the truth. Hence, I request to all of you to stay +ve and be hopeful as we all get in life what we hope for. If we have any doubts, it also means that we are still not hopeful.
I am also waiting for my wife’s visa. I’ve done all the ticks and now it’s time for being positive and keep praying. That’s how it should be done.

I’ve applied for my wife’s visa on 8th oct, 2018 through MARA agent in Adelaide. no response yet. All docs and medicals already submitted.

Goodluck to all the people who are waiting. Hope your waiting period will be over soon.

Dr. Maria
Insha Allah, you will get the grant real soon. I’ve been following your active responses on this thread.
Did you apply through yourself or your husband has applied on your behalf?
through a MARA agent?
Did you upload all the documents upfront?
Do you have any clue why are they holding your case a bit longer than others? Did something happened in the interview or during the interview you think you could have replied any question incorrectly or in a much better way?
I still believe that you will get your visa real soon. I can understand your situation as I’m going through the same. Hopefully, Everyone will get their grants soon.
