Weren't you issued a bridging visa once you submitted your application?

I submitted my application on 7-Feb-2018 and once IMMI acknowledged my applicaiton, I received my bridging visa. However, the bridging visa does not kick in until 29-Aug-2019, when my visa 457 expires.

You should find you bridging visa information in your Immiaccount online.

Thanks for your reply! I lodged my 186 TRT on April 2017, it has been more than 18 months now. However,my 457 visa is going to expire in 3 months. So I only have my bridging visa after my457 is expired. It means i can do only appeal to extend staying in Australia if I get refused, doesn’t?

    457 already expired

That’s the point,I’m on the same boat with you. 457 is going to expire very soon, but no any news. If I got refused,I can’t even re-apply 186 with expired 457 visa. And renew a 457 visa is like applying a new 457visa,which takes 13-15months..what can we do?

wow, that's a long wait for your. I strongly recommend you to get to the feedback Unit. They will write to NSW PSE to get back on to your file and will update you as well. Mine is a bit different. They did a company Audit and Asked the company for a list of docs. I have heard where there is an Audit is usually take about 2 - 6 months for Audit clearance to come. It usually takes 2 months for the Audit response after submission  but can take upto 6 months as well.

What’s the Audit? My owner was requested from a CO for a list of company docs to support the grant of my nomination, does it mean response will take 2-6months? In the end of the letter, there is position number of that senior decision maker? Can we contact them by the position number?

    Hi,

I was halfway through my second year of 457 Visa when the company was sold. My company was growing rapidly and they couldn't operate as a partnership anymore. The company was therefore sold to investors and became a PTY LTD. The company stayed very much the same, same name, same directors, same location. The only thing that changed was the ABN. They re-applied to be an approved sponsor, and then my visa has been transferred to the new ABN ( for your visa to be transfered, you need the company to do a new nomination - no need for a new visa). The company I work for is rather large ($4million turnover / month), so no issue to meet the training benchmark.

Overall, I worked 1 1/2 year under the old ABN & 6 months under the new ABN -  186 visa application lodged under the new ABN - PR granted last week - no question asked, no document requested.

We used a migration agent to do the visa transfer - and the 186 visa application.

Let me know if you need more info.

Hi,Jazza, im grateful for your reply! I was already today by my MA that this situation is not gonna effect my 457 visa . However, I have already apply for my ens 186 TRT for more than 13 months, just doubt if my ens 186 has to be reapply again or just changed the nomination if the ABN was changed ?

    Thanks

    Hi Everyone!

I've received the Golden Email this afternoon! it has been a long journey for me.

While I was on my 457 my company has been sold and the ABN has changed. In March 2017, my occupation (Exporter) has been removed from the list of eligible occupations.

Despite these hurdles, my visa has been granted today (on a saturday?!)

Both nomination & visa application lodged in June 2017.

No Documents requested. I did however upload new police checks as mine had expired.

Good luck to everyone and thank you all for your amazing support and sense of humour! :)

Hi,Jazza,as you said you company has bee sold and abn has been changed. Does it effect to your visa if your visa has not yet been granted? Or in you case, you were just lucky enough to get your visa granted in a short period after your company has been taken over? I am about to undergo same situation like you, however no any news updated yet, and company is already in processing of changing ownership...

  6. Hi,guys,I applied ENS TRT chef on 7/April/2017. Right now I felt so helpless and hopeless. I used to be a silent reader with hope in this forum, and am happy to see few mates got their visas granted from same timelines. However I was told by my boss yesterday that he gonna sign the contract for selling the restaurant tomorrow. I was shocked and gutted with what he told me. And he said restaurant name, menus, and all the positions will remain as before, only ABN gonna be changed. Furthermore, new employer will accept all the staff. But my point is i have been waiting for this xxxx visa for more than one year , and now i’m likely to lose both money and time. And My MA told my boss for those who already applied ENS gonna reapply again. I tried to search such cases online, but couldn’t find anything. In order to seek most official answer, I went to parramatta and central DHA today, and they just simply told you to contact the staff who works on visa section by calling or e-mailing. As a result, what you got from calling is endless waiting, and what you got from e-mailing is always an auto reply email. I’m totally speechless.

i’ll be much appreciated if someone has some knowledge related to this situation to share with me, and give a guide. Thanks
