Cook,South Australia waiting for nomination and visa applied in  June 2017. Anyone also waiting from south Australia please mention if your nomination approved as cook or waiting.. this long wait is such a harassment to applicants. I could not believe people waiting for 27 months still not getting any response at all. Guys also I am doing skills assessment in case anything goes wrong to apply General Skilled migration. Good luck to you all.

You need to do job ready programs please https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/ please talk to them if you can not do by yourself also you can speak to Pathway to Aus consultancy they specialist with job ready program please google it for their contact. 3 years part time experience doesn’t count. Job ready programs is one year full time experience programswhich is lead to get full skill Assessment. You are eligible to apply this programs with 187 bridging visa or 485 temporary graduate visa. Hopefully this helps for you.

Dear Mohit100, I definitely think that Mr. Dutton is doing what is best for Australia. I only think they should follow a chronological order, or at least to give the priority to those who are waiting for so long.

Please check vetassess website they have written clearly. If you apply provisional skill assessment through TrA you might eligible for chef position for job ready programs to do full skill assessment. Also if you have 6 years full time experience as a chef you can do full skills assessment. If you do have three years full time experience or 6 years part time experience you can only apply for skill assessment for cooks. Please find  appproved RTO for full skill assessment for cooks and chef they will clarify you. Cheers

    hi Mohit100..

Thanks for your reply. I havent studied in regional area. I have cert 4 in commercial cookery through RPL and 4 years fulltime experience as cook. I also have skill assessment for cook. Is it wise to apply for 190 or 489??I have 60 points includin the points given by the state. I live in a regional area in QLD.

    Any cook received the visa?

offshore, fulltime. all the best! which state your planning to apply? Which state has a better opportunity for a cook?

I might go with NSW but I have to do skill assessment. TRA saying 9weeks time for skill assessment let’s see if I get through It.
