    Hey guys,

Spent so long just watching this page and all the refusals made me freak saaaah much. This was my second application as my first employers business closed. So, in the hope that I can pass on some hope..my visa came through yesterday. I hustled this week and called the department so much, I think they are cancelling that phone line now (probably because of me)

I applied for my second RSMS in June 2016 as a Restaurant Manager in QLD and yesterday I finally got the approval!

Have faith and loads of evidence.

    My 457 expired on 13 Aug 2017

    I applied for renew 457 on 5 Aug 2017

CO ask for Doc in Oct 17

CO didn’t ask anything about Business SBS

    Docs Submitted Oct 17

    SBS Expired in Dec 17,

haven’t applied for SBS renewal yet

In IMMI account shows Now Further Assessment,

    before was assessment in progress,

so I can’t understand Business need to apply for SBS or should be ok

okey, i think tht's okey if u apply before the SBS expires  if your business need to sponser new person then they have to renew SBS .. my 457 expired oct2017 but i didn't re apply still waiting for my 187 which i applied oct2016..

If you are here from the start, you will see a lot of retail managers are being refused for the same reasons. But I haven't seen any restaurant managers are refused for a shit or ridiculous reason yet.

I'm waiting for 7 months as a cafe manager as well. Be positive.

    fingers cross

Be positive :) I know 2 chefs and 1 restaurant manager got approved when nomination and visa in 2017. You don't see it here doesn't mean no restaurant manager got approved fast.

thanks , just saying bcz restaurant Manager , retail manager , team leaders r most common visa and immi r aware of it i was watching clip on FB acc to seminar which held in Brisbane they were talking about high risk visa categories ...otherwise i'm waiting from last 16 months and hope as u said it will come + :)

I got this info from MA in Darwin

"Our Director and Principal Migration Agent, Manuela Seiberth, attended the information session delivered by the Department of Home Affairs in Brisbane today. Departmental staff gave updates about the new Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS, previous 457) as well as 186 and 187 Visas and the changes in March 2018. Some of the facts that have been alarming is the high refusal rate of 187 RSMS Visas. There has been an increase from 13% in 2016 to 50% of visa applications being refused in 2018!! Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming changes!! "

yeah i heard that news too. refusal rate increasing this year (with reason there is no NEED)
