Hi guys,
I am new to this forum. I have logged my wife and my application same day but my wife got appointment letter last week. I haven’t heard anything yet.
Has anyone faced same situation like me? I know it could be extra security check or different case officer but just trying to know if it had happened to anyone.

Hi Alan,
At the moment processing of visa applications (especially off shore applications) has become very erratic.
It is possible that the processing of your visa application will be slow due to the current covid19 crisis. It is early days yet, so only time will tell.
Good luck.
Hi Raul,
My application is offshore but I am residing onshore now. it’s been 7 months but I haven’t heard anything. I had to go offshore to satisfy schedule 3 due to having BVA.
So do you think my application will be held due to Covid-19 situation even though I am residing in Australia now?

Hi guys,
Does anyone know for partner English test validity?
I know it’s 12 month. But is it time of application Lodged or time approval?
My wife PTE 12 month expired last week which was valid when I lodged my application 8th October 2019.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated as I don’t want spend another $350 for English test.
thanks in advance.

They haven't specifically said it has stopped so unless you know someone in the immigration team who says otherwise that's as much info as any of us are going to get.
Obviously right now they are rather busy dealing with onshore visas for people who are about to overstay etc. through no fault of their own, so as they know that no off shore people should travel anyway it makes sense to prioritise the on shore ones.
Equally if you haven't uploaded you medical certs you'll be glad it slowed down as you get 28 days after request to upload them and no one is doing them at the moment as the facilities and practitioners are all in the hospital's dealing with CV19
Hi Ausvisitor,
Thanks for your kind reply. The fact is I am living onshore. I had to go offshore to submit my application to satisfy schedule 3 due to having a bridging visa. So I am not sure if anything to do with slowing down my application processing.

Does anyone know please whether offshore application been stopped processing or not?

A grant is a grant...
The only difference between an on-shore and off-shore grant is that all VISAs need to be activated by being on-shore. So for off-shore applicants they need to set foot in Australia by the "must visit by" date that will be on the VISA grant letter.
This will be up to 12 months from the date of grant - but is often shorter as your Case Officer may decide that your medical and PC certificates also need to still be valid on entry to Australias (we've seen examples of both scenarios so you won't know which until you get your grant letter)
Thanks a lot mate.

Hi guys,

Hi Bradley,
Do you mind sharing what is the reason to delay of approval after test?
I am in same situation, waiting for approval after my test. But most of the applications get approved within same day or next day after test.
