3XDE , 186, Canada, Doctor, been waiting since December 2016 , we are neglected;( wanna go home.

To all the 2016 people ... my friend's July 2016 application has just been ALLOCATED (2 x Marketing Specialists, LR (UK), 186 DE)

Don't lose hope - you haven't been forgotten, and your file WILL be allocated!

  2. 2 x DE 186 Marketing Specialists, LR (UK), small employer, been waiting since July 2016.

That isn't a typo ... TWO THOUSAND AND SIXTEEN.

No updates, no requests for information, and all required docs have been uploaded (including updated police clearances after the old ones expired)

  3. My Marketing Specialist friend (July 2016, 2 applicants, LR, DE) was finally given a bit of an update yesterday from immigration - they were told that as they've only just finished processing April 2016 applications, it's probably going to be another couple of months until their application is looked at. Either they're saying this to manage expectations (i.e. to underpromise and overdeliver), or it's true they've literally left the older applications behind while they process the newer ones.

    It's been 20 MONTHS!

Like I said it’s anecdotal and literally just my personal experience of n=7ish people over the last year. These were all nominees from a state government, and highly skilled.

Given the low risk and high demand for these folks, it stands to reason to process these applications quickly, because lots of times if you can’t promise PR (and fast!) they will just go to another country for work.

If you look at the overall visa applications for the medical practitioner category they are almost negligible in comparison to the other applications.

As I said, my bad, I didn't realise you were just referring to medical practitioners :)

Keep in mind that's just anecdotal and could vary, although I can't remember the last time anyone I know that has applied over the years and has taken longer than maybe 8 months? But this was because they didn't have their documents and really didn't make much of an effort to turn them in etc so they were asked for one thing after another.

This isn't really a true representation of what's going on - a lot of people have submitted all their information, and haven't heard anything yet because their case hasn't been assigned. I know there is a chef on here that's been waiting for 22 months, and 2 marketing specialists that have been waiting for nearly 19 and haven't heard a thing

(EDIT sorry, I've just realised this was a specific response regarding medical practitioners, my bad :)

Hi guys. Has anyone on here gone over the allocated time frame for their 186 ENS Transition visa and is from a low risk country??? I can see from the list that there is a few but I'm wondering if they have already got their visa's and just not updated the time sheet as I never hear from them in this chat. I can count at least 7 cases that haven't even been allocated a case officer yet (according to the spreadsheet). Is anyone on here one of those people?

My friend and her colleague have been waiting for 18.8 months now for their 186 visas, 2 x marketing specialists, skill level 1 from a low risk country (they're on the spreadsheet under July 16)

All their documentation has been correctly submitted, and they've never been asked for additional information.
