I got this info from MA in Darwin

"Our Director and Principal Migration Agent, Manuela Seiberth, attended the information session delivered by the Department of Home Affairs in Brisbane today. Departmental staff gave updates about the new Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (TSS, previous 457) as well as 186 and 187 Visas and the changes in March 2018. Some of the facts that have been alarming is the high refusal rate of 187 RSMS Visas. There has been an increase from 13% in 2016 to 50% of visa applications being refused in 2018!! Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming changes!! "

Oh no, have no idea what's going on there... Thanks for the sharing mate

Guys! i have seen most of the restaurant Manager refusal here. i will give you one advice if all of you want to take. grab 50 person who rejected in this case and hire a good lawyer. each person needs to spend $1000. why i am telling this because one of my friend he submitted 489 visa in cook couple of years ago they stopped to open the file and no movement . they did same thing and lawyer gave a notice to all department which is related to that. it cost $50000. i think it is worth it to go better than AAT and Home. let me know if you need lawyer information. just do it guys believe me. one day guys you are Thanking for this advice...Lol....

Grab from Whats app group who made it. Do not wait for AAT Decision or submit to AAT.

    Regards,

    Sam

What's your plan? Did you get refusal? I think we have more than 20ppl here got refused already as Retail Manager

Yes they asked about further docs and called my owner to confirm if i was working there and my owner explained everything about my position and duties, i am currently working there. CO was allocated in december.

immi is just giving us silly excuses to refuse our case?

I am so sorry to hear that Shaktimaan, I am in the same situation as you , Retail Manager, nomination refused for the same reason, the only difference is that my employer never receive any callings whatsoever from immi...I am also going for AAT

    http://www.smh.com.au/business/the-economy/australia-requests-a-period-of-transition-on-new-indian-tariff-20171228-p4yy2x.html

It was reported that the Australian Agriculture minister was flying to India to try and convince the Indian government to allow a transition period so that these new taxes wouldn't affect pre-existing orders as farmers and relevant industries would be affected and crops etc had been harvested...

I feel for the farmers and exporters and everyone else involved in the industry as it's not their fault...but lives and crops and incomes will be affected if India decides to stick to the new regulations on the taxes...

Similar situation with all those people who've moved to Australia based on existing regulations and jobs that were needed and are being told the rules have changed.

It feels different when the shoe's on the other foot doesn't it?...So have some compassion...you never know when you're going to need it yourself.

I agree with you. Thinking about the economic influence to the enterprises when strikes come, if the Australians work harder, more competent and efficient(just think about how long they take for road and track work), no one can steal their jobs. on the other hand, if the current government wouldn't have cut the budget for middle management that sharp, enterprises or public transport would have enough money to train new people to avoid the hassle, and now actually they are making people cost more tangibly and intangibly for almost everything and claim they are doing this for the sake of Australians, they are doing the other way around. Probably Mr Shorten can do a better job for Australians

Hi Nicole its too sad. Have you got any document request from department before rejecting Nomination. ? Did they give any particular Reason?

    TIA

Unfortunately not, they didn't give a call or ask any document, the reason was that they reckoned the position was a supervisor not a manager position. Hope your case will have a good news. What's your position and timeline please?
