Hi Vikki, 

I am an Early Years teacher migrating to Australia in August. Please do your PGCE, it gives you qualified teacher status in the UK and counts as the 4 years needed in Australia. 

I understand you are not doing a teaching degree you are doing an Early Childhood degree so you need to do the PGCE. 

If you do the EYTS you will still qualify for a Early Years teacher visa but you will be limited to working in Nurseries or day cares where the pay is not as good as if you are working in a school.
