Did immigration asked for more details after nomination approved?
I lodged my visa application after nomination was approved. This additional information request only came in this morning. I guess since it was more than 9 months since approval of nomination, they wanted a confirmation. I had lodged the latest payslip last month but i guess that wasn't good enough for them. Should be able to submit it tomorrow.

Got email from immigration this morning asking for letter from employer if the position is still available. Signature updated. Happy to see some movement. Status changed to initial assessment.

Obviously there's no straight answer to it but my agent mentioned that along with the nominated occupation, the company size/profile matters as well - if the company is an "accredited sponsor", their applications are typically processed faster. So basically companies on this list - https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/6369/response/17729/attach/4/fa 200600144 documents released.pdf
For more details, see this link: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/employing-and-sponsoring-someone/sponsoring-workers/becoming-a-sponsor/accredited-sponsor#Eligibility
my company name is on it but I am still waiting.. 8 months & counting..

Each primary and secondary applications are counted for total applications
If you are confident then that might be the case....

On hold application includes Primary and secondary applicant, On an average there would at least 2 applicant for Visa, which means , total on hold is not more than 7000 in my view. Out of that 3 to 4 K would have piled up in recent few months. Let's keep hope things will get better
As far as my understanding goes, count for PR application for both primary & secondary applicant is one as both the applicants is lodged in one single application rather than different ones unlike 482 & 457 applications. so when they say 14502 pending, it means 14502 applications not people. & the application would have 3 to 4 people per application. I might be wrong too. but this makes more sense.

I am just wondering, if you know, your application will be considered as onshore or offshore, as I have same case?
Also your nomination is approved? you can contact to immigration as it is over 8 months.
Current time line says 6 to 9. Inside processing times .they will give you default answer

I think it should be considered onshore as primary applicant is onshore.
nomination got approved in 3 days. I submitted my visa after that. My colleague who applied after me got his in 1.5 months back in April but his whole family was onshore so don’t know whether that helped

Officially my bridging visa starts today.. 8 months & counting.. what a nightmare...

it seems like they don't want to approve TRT applications. Really frustrating to see that these mobs don't have a proper SOP to work with & no regards for people's life's

I know it is a very confusing system to try and work out. I hope they are still processing and we hear soon!
I rang the general line and they advised I just had to wait until someone picked up the application again.
That is what they do. No clear answer. Anyway my friend got his visa approved in 6 weeks.

Hi Sheb
The wait time is ridiculous now!
have you tried to contact Parramatta office? Not yet.. I am still inside the processing times. Just clocked over 4 months.. so I think there is no point in doing that either. Anyway ...hopefully new financial year would bring good news & federal Govt not releasing any updates regarding new quotas on 189,190 & 491 visas might push the existing visa application forward.. but then these are all assumptions & seriously don’t know how the immigration dept select applications & approve.
did u try & Contact them

Has anyone had any communication / requests or grants from the Parramatta office in recent months
My friend got approval from 186TRT in Apri on 29th. I am waiting since before him for approval but then you are waiting since way before that. i haven't had any updates. still in received status. timeline in signature. both of our occupation are the same & we work in the same company.
