    Hello All...

I contacted Immi Dept of Parramatta following contact details from my acknowledgement receipt. The person said at this stage, ENS 186 would take 12-14 Months as they are short of staff, and after noting down my details he stated that my FILE didnt get allocated yet.

I told him that if my medical and other things expire in time and my file remains untouched then i would not go for the tests again as it cost me half of my pay which i cant afford just because of your side staff issues, I also told him that I would walk IN person to your office if it crosses 10 months of time as i 've got many commitments which are simply getting dragged , He replied : IM THE ONLY PERSON SITTING IN THIS IMMIGRATION OFFICE , If you come In you would find me and would get the same ANSWER.

I'm seriously thinking to lodge complain or see some one f2f, Its just not Right. He didnt had any answer to my information about approving recent applications and leaving behind previous/old ones. He also mentioned that at this stage : dept is processing applications of April-Sept 2016

Unfortunately that's the attitude you'd get nowadays. Venting your frustration to the officer certainly won't help. What would be helpful is to follow up, say, every 2 weeks, and ask politely. That's the least you can do.

Hundreds of thousands of applications to handle every day and for the officers to process the same thing all year long - you'd think they have gone numb with their daily job.

hi can i ask after u called them, what was their answer?are they just saying your application is still in process only?

i have been waiting almost 17 months and just called them, they give me another number to call, after called, they just say the estimate processing timing is only estimation.and say yuour application is still in process.thats all the dialog.

I told them that I've submitted all my required documents and was wondering how much longer it'd take for the approval to get through.

The officer asked for my application ID, and said yup he can see I've got all the documents submitted and it shouldn't take long to get the approval - he didn't specifically say when.

It was around 11am Perth time after the call and around 3pm my agent rang me and told me the good news I got the approval.

Seems to be a case officer contact number which was allocated to your application.

I got the contact number from the bottom header of the nomination approval pdf - unsure if it's the same for everyone else but I'd assume so bcoz that's probably a template used for everyone.

How we need to introduce our case to them? Is it reference number or something else?

Just have your application ID ready. The usual questions they ask for ID verification - DOB, full name etc.

I also called this number and another one but they hung up immediately... I didn't even talked to anyone... :(

    Have you tried many times?

Yup happened to me yesterday...every time it was trying to connect to the operator they hung up immediately...took me 3 times to get through them...I did give it a rest for about an hour before picking up the phone again though...just trying not to annoy them:)

I am also planning to call immi tomorrow morning still waiting more than 14 months is it ok to call because my Ma told me don’t call department may be risky suggest me what can I do pls

I skipped through my agent and called DIBP to follow up my application.

When I told my agent I actually called them he was quite surprised - so I’d say go for it, no harm asking how’s your application going.

    Good luck to all

Hey congratulations mate. Do you mind sharing some details like what was the date of your application lodging and were you on TRT. or DE. AND OCCUPATION please.

    Hey mate of course.

My date of application for both nomination and PR visa was lodge through MA on 23rd June 2017. I suspect it could be lodged not until the 25th June 2017 though he told me it's on 23rd June but anyway...

Nomination Approved: 14th November 2017 - we've been asked for health check, police clearance, Form 80 and home country certificate of good conduct.

All documents submitted on 27th November 2017

    Occupation: Geophysicist (Transition Stream)

    Approved: 20th December 2017

It was interesting bcoz I was chatting with my colleague ytd regarding PR visa. He told me he gave DIBP a call after 6 months and got it approved straight away within few hours.

So today decided to give it a go and I'm guessing just a random guy picked up the phone (extremely helpful and polite). He went through my application and said shouldn't be too long and it's been 6 days after the 28th day document submission deadline.

And then few hours later my migration agent called me with this good news!

Hi Guys, My company nomination was approved on 05/12/2017 but I did not hear anything regarding to my visa application. Generally how much time it takes to process visa application?

Company nomination applied: 30 June  2017 - Approved on 05/12/2017

Visa application applied on 15 Sep 2017-  Status: Received.

    Skill level: 1

    186 DE

Mine has been over a month now after the nomination approval.

I wouldn't put too much hope now given the festive season, might as well relax and enjoy till early next year.

It looks like lots of approvals for June and July! I applied in September so hoping that in a couple of months I'Il be receiving mine - after nearly 10 years in Australia!

It seems the timeline of approval is generally within 6 months now.

My colleague applied end of February this year and got his approval end of August. Another colleague applied end of March, but because of newborn, took an extra month to get his approval end of October recently.

And another colleague's friend applied end of March and got his approval end of September.

All within 6 months it seems.
