It's already been 2 months since we submitted our NT nomination application. Still no change in status. Raks, how long did u wait for nomination? 

I'm still waiting for state nomination approval.  

well let's wait and see what ur CO says...hopefully they will have a solution that will work..all the best 

Australia allows their citizens to have dual citizenship if the other country allows it. I believe UK allows dual citizenship. So once you get citizenship in Australia, you can keep your UK citizenship as well...if the rules don't change by then 

You need to tell ur CO about this, he/she mite understand. 

Also, u shud talk to the italian embassy nearest to where u are now. They mite be able to help.

You also need a conduct letter from the ship's captain. Check the home affairs website for details about getting pcc. But u shud talk to ur CO, mayb they mite accept the self declaration. 

Work shud b in regional areas too

The home affairs websites says u need to live in regional area for 2 yrs and of that 2 yrs atleast 1 yr u shud hav worked full time job

Hi, 

My EOI points got auto-updated today to reflect increased work experience (8 yrs). My NT nomination application is already submitted. Do I need to update MigrationNT about my increased EOI points? or will they be able to see it in their system?

Do I need to get my skills assessment updated? or do I just send NT my latest salary slips?

That's a good point, Nemesis. 

Can I use Mutual Funds in my name which can be redeemed at any time? Life insurance polices which are close to maturity date? 

What about ability to take loan against insurance policies? Can these be used to prove financial capacity?

Re proof for financial capacity. Can I submit a property valuation of a property which is in my father's name? I will inherit the property after his time. Will this be acceptable to NT? what docs can I submit as proof that the property will be mine at a later date?

Hello everyone, 

I'm just starting the NT nomination process. I need some clarification. After submitting the EOI successfully, do I need to wait for some approval before proceeding with my NT nomination application? 

From what I read, there doesnt seem to be a reason to wait if I have all docs ready for NT nomination application.

Any clarification on this would be appreciated.
