Did you travel during during your residency? I heard that they will do offshore and onshore police checks on their own.
After PR I did not travel overseas.

Three of us from SA got immediate approval after the test, shown as approved on line the same day. We were told after the test that all was OK and no further checks were required. I think extra security checks are now required though.
thank you. It really helps.

I did my test a month ago. the case officer told me he will perform some additional checks and told me to wait 6 months for ceremony. But my application is still received.
Any applicant from South Australia who is already approved. How many days did you waited for the approval after the test? I think regional applicants gets the test quicker but approval takes time

While the length of time it takes to process applications is ridiculously long in anyone’s books, there is a part of me that wonders :
does it really matter?
yes it matters if you are applying for jobs and they need NV1 security clearance

, DIAC are progressing and the majority are done prior to the time line published
the government own audit report says otherwise. However, I agree with most of your points in the later comment

Because of that the people who came on skilled migration visa are suffering a daring delay.
Does it define inactivity. The Audit also finds out there are 20% applications which are complex in nature? How you infer that the applicants which came through PR are affected by those who arrived on boats?

somebody shoot a "Shudni" (rumor) that 80% of applications would be processed till June 2019 (End of current financial year)
haha.
I did not read the full report but there are few interesting point
(1) 80% of the applications (non complex) requires only 88 minutes to finalise
(2) there is a lot of inactivity in processing of the application
is this information (80% of applications would be processed till June 2019) mentioned in the report ??

Is anyone else seeing this when they log in? I know it says Citizenship applications are not affected and as far as I know we have provided everything, I just wondered if this was a standard message?
I think it is same for everyone. You may safely ignore it

it appears, you have completely misread the post
I have read your first post and thought may be you are thinking of getting the citizenship together with your wife and kids. Therefore, I thought I should give you some info on that

I asked our local council about my wife’s ceremony for Australia Day and she said they hadn’t received the list from immigration yet. Not sure if they just send a list once it’s full?
they usually send it 4 weeks before the actual ceremony date. This is mentioned here https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/citizenship/ceremony

my family and I did the tests on the 4th dec 2018 , my kids and wife have the ceremony on Australia day, I do not know when mine will be so we have decided they will get citizenship and I will not as it will cause me to lose employment back in the uk ..
if anyone skips the ceremony then automatically be put on the next one. But, he/she must has to attend it within a year after approval.

For example, Driver licence, Proof of Age card, Centrelink card, Medicare card.”
You can go to government authority which issues Proof of Age if you do not have any document which proves your address with name then they will give you a form and then verify it from your bank. Then again go to the government authority and they will send you Proof of Age in couple of weeks.

Test/Interview Date: Dec 6th 2018
You can book it to an earlier date. You change the appointment online. There should be a link on your test date letter.
Keep checking as earlier dates become available when people cancel at the last minute.
