Does anyone have any experience in resigning few weeks after your DE 186 got approved?

Can’t believe I am writing this post but finally after 22 months wait, 2 x requested docs and literally lost hope....I received the golden call and email this morning.

docs requested were proof of work experience and qualification which were already uploded anyway.

I was initially under the impression that, once you lodge your visa and get your bridging visa(s) - your nomination is approved and you then simply wait for the actual visa to be approved.

This is not the case - bridging visa(s) are given on lodgement, however, noth the nomination and visa still need to be approved (separately). 

We have now provided updated documents for both applications (nomination and visa) as requested from the CO, and now we wait - agent expects at least a 4 week turn around. 

Something interesting that I had misunderstood. 

My nomination was approved on August 7th and I didn’t hear anything since. It’s been over 5 weeks now

Hey mate, nom approved on Aug 6 too, new medicals and pcc lodged the day after. No news since then, still initial assessment.

Got the medicals done today, feeling optimistic but a bit scared. I've hear that when you get a request for medicals, it means you're almost in.

Anyways, fingers crossed. I was about to give up after 20 months of waiting for this last visa. 5 years of paperwork and around 55k spent.

Nomination approved on August 6 after 20month wait.

they requested me new medicals which I did the day after and 3 weeks later still waiting.

I feel ya, 2 weeks now since Nom approved and no news

Nom and Visa lodged in Dec 2016.

Nom approved in Aug 2018.

I called them up yesterday and they even didn’t know if the processing times starts from the moment of lodgement or when Nom is approved.

?!

How long would take after nom is approved?

Hey, my nomination has been approved but waiting for the visa. I am thinking to go overseas very soon: do you think the fact of leaving the country temporary will affect or slow down the visa application or doesn’t matter?

After the RFI (see above) the nomination got approved on July 4th, then another almost 5 weeks of waiting until the visa grant this morning.

Can't believe the wait is over and guess it will take some while to realize it.

 

Thinking of all of you still waiting, fingers crossed the wait and insecurity will be over for you very soon!

Congrts, my nom was approved on Monday and asked me to re do the medicals.

hopefully it’s jut a matter of weeks

And now they just requested me to do medical again....

Refused due to apparently the position not being "genuine".
