Status changes after the ceremony. Sometimes after passport printing. Approval doesn't reflect in IMMI account.
Ohhh This is ridiculous because there is still small probability that the letter might be lost in the mail and we don't even know that It has been sent

I am wondering if the status of the online application even changes when a decision will be made. For example, the status is currently received and should be changed to finalised after a decision will be made

16th April is the date when Eliot applied for citizenship. The guy who approved on 4th applied on 9th April. So he applied 7 days late than that guy. 16-9= 7. So he can expect approved 7 days later than his approval.
Complex maths.
Hahahahaha Thanks Sheila for your clarification. I didn't realize it at all although I am an Engineer !!!

Good news! I reckon DIBP started processing since October, 16-9=7, I may wait one more week (if possible, exactly same time interval), should be issued around 11~13 Oct. Dementia will be treated soon
Hi Elliot Tsao,
would you please clarify what is meant by 16-9=7 what 16 stands for and 6 as well?
Regards,

I think they might clear the backlog first before processing applications after 20 April 2017. That is kind of assumption I think
Your assumption makes every sense. However, we still never know how they think

Hi Guys,
The final decision will be on 18th of October!! How should this affect applicants who set the test but have not received decision letter yet?

Hi Guys,
I have heard from a friend that the department of border protection is holding all applications that have been lodged before 20th April 2017. I understand that those have been lodged after 20th April 2017 are in the hold but what about the prior ones. Any news?

"People who all are waiting for approval mails, don't press panic button. I believe it should be happening for a reason, most of you guys are aware that DIBP stopped processing applications the people who lodged after April 20th, so only work DIBP have is to process the applications lodged before April 20th and it reported to senate committee that they will close the processing of old applications by Oct end, we should take this as liberals word as government officials follow what potato Dutton tells. if DIBP process all applications and keep with empty hand until new bill passes, can government handles the pressure from opposition, other communities and common people? It has slowed down the process till new law passes, it would get pile of applications from Oct 19th to process, so they will try to close the old ones by end of Oct, So wait for another 30 days everything will be all right. "
Another opinion
Where did you find this perspective? Is It an official one!

The new policy is the announcement of so called new policy since 20 April. He explained that due to so called new policy, recent 5 months processing time of tests in June (applicants who logged applications before 20 April) has been influenced be longer than the normal processing time.
No any new processing time, recent half year is just an abnormal or special period. Just this info.
What we can ONLY do at this stage: Waiting with extremely PATIENT
3Does this mean that the average processing time between test and decision 5 months? Would you please clarify your words "recent 5 months processing time of tests in June". I had my test in July so do not expect a decision before December.

DIBP answered: for tests in June were obviously influenced by the new policy, need to wait longer than normal time. The only thing I suggest you is to wait with patient.
Called 830am until 852am queue the 1st to ask.
What was meant by the new policy? Did they mean new processing time?

Immi updated time from 13 months to 14 months.....!! Something happening..Poor planning.
This level of service is very frustrating. I really do not understand the true reason behind this extended delays. Although I believe that all applications from 20 April 2017 are on hold which in turn should reduce the processing time of current processed applications.

Congratulations Sheila ! Did the online status change from approved to finalised when you received a ceremony invitation or when you attended the ceremony? Or no change just approved?
