Whats the difference between lodgement date and acknowledgment date?

I have a theory about the slow processing. I might be wrong though, but what if the department is only processing 300 applicants per month(3600/12), because if they process faster they will exhaust the cap earlier than July 1st 2022, so they wanna go at an even speed till then, what do we think?

Yes if you can find a very scarce and expensive flight and pay for 2 weeks quarantine. The caps for entry into Australia have been halved in recent weeks.
How much the cost of the 2 weeks of quarantine?

There was also a second spike in 2017 - nearly 9000 applied for 143 in May/ June alone!
There is now a smaller “cap“ on parent visas - approx 6000 contributory parent Visas could be granted each year and 1500 non contributory Visas but the actual numbers granted are usually less than that - only 6850 in total were granted by end June 2019
Its simple maths then to work out the potential length of wait - in fact just those 9000 143 applications in May/June 2017 will take 18-24 Months to process - and there are also 5 other different types of parent visas to add to the equation
I applied June 2017 so have already waited 3 years - I expect to wait at least another 3 if not more !
From where did you get those numbers from? -

The 2nd vac will be calculated as at the time u start apply 143. So if she is under 18 u just need to pay few $k ..... not ~$43k as adults
when u apply aos if she is still under 18, u dont need to do aos for her. But if she is over 18 at the time they ask for aos then u have to do another application of aos for her.
So if a dependent applicant is over 18, is it 10,000$ for them too?
