hello Angiemol, are you applying onshore or offshore?

  3. Here is the email from vic govt:

Thank you for your application for Victorian Government nomination under the 190 - Skilled Nominated visa scheme.

Following a review of your application, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for visa nomination by the Victorian Government.

Your application for Victorian Government state nomination was reviewed individually and assessed with a focus on your ability to address a number of criteria, including:

§          your ability to meet the minimum eligibility criteria,

§          the demand for your particular skills and expertise, and your ability to find work in Victoria,

§          the suitability and transferability of your qualifications, skills and experience – including any specialist capabilities – to the needs of Victoria’s labour market,

§          your ability and commitment to establishing yourself, and any dependents, in Victoria,

§          the number of nomination applications received relative to the number of nomination places available for your occupation.

Your application was not selected for state nomination because it did not include an offer of employment

Provision of an offer of employment is a minimum eligibility requirement for applicants living in an Australian state or territory other than Victoria.  This requirement has been set to give interstate applicants an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to living and working in Victoria.

There are other visa pathways for highly skilled workers who want to live and work in Victoria and we encourage you to investigate other visa options on the Department of Home Affairs’ website for alternative visa pathways: www.homeaffairs.gov.au.

See our website for further information on nomination requirements: liveinmelbourne.vic.gov.au/

We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

So sorry if these questions have been asked before I was just wondering if anyone can advise me further

We have been advised by an agent for me apply to AHPRA first due to some complexities with my qualification (I have a post graduate diploma in nursing which is marked at level 7 whereas degrees are marked at level 6). I am in the process of collecting the evidence for this and then have to wait for the outcome and possibly receive the 'in principle' letter and I would then have to fly over and present to AHPRA.

Am I correct thinking that I still have to get all my documents certified before sending to AHPRA? With the possibility of not meeting their standards?

We have been advised due to my qualification to apply for a 189 visa but use my partner as the main applicant as he is a gas fitter and plumber - he currently has 60 points (once completed IELTS) and may possibly get 65 if I can bring points for my qualification.

I've read somewhere on this forum that because I won't be the main applicant for the visa I won't need a skills assessment with ANMAC, is this correct?

Also would I still need to complete the academic level on the IELTS or can I just do the general test?

    Sorry for the long post

All documents must be certified before sending to AHPRA from you.

Except those letters sent out directly from nursing board/ authorities/ univerisity.

  5. Hello everyone, I got an email from Vic govt that my application for visa 190 has been rejected because I don't have an offer of employment.

I am in Adelaide, so i need to provide that. I am very frustrated now, because i am thinking whether I should relocate to Melbourne or not, and then reapply.

    Any similar experience so far?

    Best wishes,

    Sara

Thanks for that, could you let me know when you do then hopefully I not far behind. Do you think it's worth trying to get state sponsored and do you know if this is really difficult

    thanks for your responce

Hello Pauline, ya, it's getting more difficult to get invited.   May be trying to seek advise from agency if you want to get state sponsor because different state has its own requirement for the sponsorship and it varies.

Invitation rounds for Skilled - Independent (subclass 189) and Skilled - Regional Provisional (subclass 489) visas will be offered twice monthly. Dates for the rounds are subject to change.

The next invitation round is anticipated to run on 22 November 2017.

Invitation numbers in each round may vary depending on the number of applications being processed by the department.

Am I right in thinking that there should be another invitation round on 1st Nov. The border website has not released the results from the 18th October one and not showing the next rounds yet?

normally they are up by now aren't they?

    It's soooo frustrating.....

    Hi there,

Thanks for the response! I'm already licensed with AHPRA so only need to do the modified skills assessment. Is that what you did as well because you were licensed, or you got licensed in the process? Online it's saying the current turn around is only 3 weeks for the modified so fingers crossed (although one of the jurisdictions I was licensed in is taking forever to send my letter of good standing :( ), so I can't even submit yet. Thanks for helping to keep me informed!

    Lindsey

yes, true, it just took few weeks for the modified assessment by ANMAC.

    good luck.

Results are up from last invitation round and the effective date is 13/09/17 so looks promising for 60 pointers on next round 4th October. But there are less invites being given in october. We are putting EOI in on 1st October with 60 points so we will have to wait a while by the looks of it.

Yes, it does make sense as a prediction. I am waiting for the next round as well.
