Can someone please explain how the transfer works?

Am I still on the Terms and Conditions of the original Visa?

Is it only the sponsor change, and the job title stays the same?

How long would this process take?

I am a Construction Project Manager. I will be building solar farms, mostly in Queensland.

I can't wait. Everything is booked and paid for, so now it's only the wait for next Saturday.

I did it. My sponsor together with the MA prepared and presented it, and hey presto. If your sponsor wants you, there is no harm in asking...

Guys, speak to your sponsors and get them to make a business case and get you on the priority list. It will go quick (er), once you are on the list. I waited 8 weeks, got on to the priority list, got my visa 48 hours later. I don't think there is any rhyme or reason about the delay in processing.

I ended up calling them and sorting it. I will be over in 12 days time, and then it's just a matter of finding an address to live so we can get the membership cards.

As far as mine was concerned it was the employer. They built a business case, with deadlines and that was all submitted by the MA, and in my case priority and approval came very swiftly.

 Visa granted! Will be in Australia as of the 18th September.

Went on to priority 31/08/2017, visa granted 01/09/2017.

Today.

I am in the priority queue as well as I was supposed to start my contract on the 4th September. No updates have been given on how "fast" the priority queue progresses, but we can keep each other up to date, if you like.

Yes, so was mine, as the project start dates are the 4th September but I still have to wait for the minimum of 8 weeks before we can enquire about the status. At least that is what my MA told me.

I will have to get the reference number from my M A.

Can one see visa progress of the 457 on the Immi Account?

How is it then, that some people got their visa within days? Makes no sense.

Ive read that most of the banks in oz charge a "account keeping fee" of a few $ a month, are there any that dont charge?

Ive come across Transferwise which looks like a decent way of transfering money and has some good reviews, anyone here used them?

Thanks, I will give that a go. The visa is taking a bit longer so the payment of the medical insurance has lapsed...

We are with HSBC, and you can open an account in Australia and link it to your UK HSBC account and money transfers are free.

does anyone have an email address for BUPA Australia, as I need to update my payment, but they only have a telephone number and I can't get hold of the office because of the time difference?

New member here. 457 lodged 5 weeks ago. All the documentation has been supplied to MA. We are being told that the wait is 8 weeks.
