Submitted nomination same time as visa in October 2016. Approved yesterday and updated  docs requested for visa yesterday

Hi all,

If your visa is refused while onshore on a bridging visa and you appeal this. Do you keep your bridging visa and right to work in Australia until your appeal has a decision ?

or do you have to leave Australia until the decide on your appeal ?

187 DE, Office Manager, QLD, applied Oct 2016, RCB approved Oct 2016, LR country, medicals submitted Jan 2017. Heard nothing at all. 

Same timeline and occupation as you but In WA. I have had no news at all.

BAS, Tax returns, supports letter from accountant ?

or don't they need to be updated ?

So for example if you apply for 187 in Perth metro in Feb 2016 and they changes rules in March 2017 that Perth metro is no longer allowed they can reject your application ? 

I thought they have to process your application to the rules that are in place at the time you submitted your application ?

They can't change rules on visas already lodged. Visa gets processed against rules at time of lodgement.
