Usually, migration agents deal with the documents online so you do not need to locate in the same region as the agent you would like to use. Good luck!

I used MA for only nomination part for the transition stream and I did visa part by myself. However, it would be ideal to get a help from MA for all the application process if it is not clear to you. My company used work reference letter, employment contract and payslip to prove that I had worked for the past 2 years. Good luck!

Visa fees are now indexed to the consumer price index and will continue to increase every year.
That is sad....

I think the easiest way is to get a help from a migration agent. Also, this is IELTS website link: https://www.ielts.org/ Good luck!

I obtained my Japanese and Australian Police certificate 2 months before I lodged the Sc186 visa and I submitted them with other documents online. There would be no problem to submit at later stage as additional documents to attach online but my MA recommended all the documents ready before the lodgement. As for the medical check-up, I arranged the appointment right after the lodgement. You should get a notification/info from DIBP how to arrange the medical check-up Good luck!

Thank you, Ken and bwatt99. It means that I cannot go overseas more than one year in total if I really wanna get the citizenship right away. AH.. anyway, I will have to wait..

Damn it. I would have applied for Citizenship this May as I had been PR for one year but now I have to wait for 3 more years. If the days spent outside of Australia do not count, it means that I would have to wait for more than 3 years if I go overseas for travel/business. Does anyone know exactly how to count the days for this?

Yes, my 186 has been granted. You can get a quote from MA only for nomination but maybe it depends on MA you will use.
