Hi all, we have just been granted our 190 visa, application lodged July!
Could anyone give any advice/tips on storage/renting/taking persona valuables and anything else you could think of please.
We have looked but would like persona experiences.

I don't  know the areas well enough. Go to Domain.com.au and do some searching but be careful Newcastle will have some expensive areas on the coast, so the average will be more expensive than Tamworth. That doesn't  mean there aren't  affordable suburbs. Newcastle is now being seen as an alternative to Sydney (although not commutable) whereas I have not see  similar articles about Tamworth.  Other posters know Newcastle so will hopefully come along and comment. 

Tamworth is a long way inland and a 5 hour drive from Sydney. Newcastle is on the coast and more accessible.  It has better infrastructure IMO, a larger hospital for example.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Yes I am using agent for processing. Still waiting for invitation, what do you think how long they will take it?

Maybe speak to your agent and see what they advise, it has been a long time not to hear anything.

Which profession did you apply for kristy?? It's already been 4 months I haven't heard any thing about invitation.


We applied for electrician and also had 60 points.
That's a long time to wait.

Hi all,

We are applying for a 190 state nomination with NSW, we are awaiting medicals and police checks so hopefully not much longer...but we are wondering what it best suburbs to look at for families?

We have 2 young children and want to try and give them a better quality life.

We have currently been looking at Newcastle, Tamworth and Belmont mainly these because of schooling and work for my husband seems to be more in this area.

Could anyone please offer any advice on these such as thins to do, house rental prices and anything else that could benefit us or any other suburbs that would suit young children.

After we sent our EOI it took about 4-6 weeks before we got an invitation from NSW.
We are still in the visa process.
Hopefully won't be too long of a wait for you.
